Processional gilded and ebonized wood crucifix.Italy, XVIII/XIX century.The crucifix has a composite decoration with the 'en rocaille' base, withapical shells and divergent light rays. Rectangular mirror in Baroque style, with gilded frame.Fretted on carved solid wood. The first protruding frame has geometrical motifs with leaves. The second frame has four decorations with baroque scrolls (on the upper part there is a shell).Gilded finish with gold leaf or golden paint.Antique bevelled mirror.Origin: Central/Northern Italy.The date is not sure but the style is Baroque. My family has this item (probably purchased from an antique dealer) since . Size: inner frame 32 x 23 cm. Outer frame 55 x 42 cm. Thickness: 4 cm.Weight: 1 kg.Never restored, from a family inheritance.In good condition, with a bit of dirt, a small missing part in the gilding inside the shell (as shown in the photos) and some cracks in the mirror (as visible in the pictures). 19th c. Eastern wooden carved capital base candle holder

An Eastern, quite possibly Indian, wooden carved 19th century column capital converted into a large candlestick holder featuring a beaded border and faded green-painted finish. This eye-grabbing and hefty piece, measuring approximately 16" across, demands attention in the room with the massive 17.5" candle in place (candle included!).
