Marble bust of deity, Italy - first half of 19th century

The small bust of"Zeus or Neptune" underwent only a conservative restoration work. The head was relocated above the bust, certainly with a linchpin and mortar, no stucco work. The sculpture was crafted archaeologically, the preparation with recesses of the left shoulder is beautiful together with the semi-ancient tears. However, overall the artefact is in a fairly good state of preservation, in its original patina, crafted in a fine Italian statuary, held up by an original metal linchpin, on a Levanto red base. Wooden scene of Adam and Eve - Spain - probably 19th century

Large primitively cut carved wooden panel of Adam and Eve in paradise. They stand under the tree with the snake and Eve holds the apple. Polychrome painted with very clear residues of the paint. Time and religious usage made the colors fade away giving the statue a beautiful patina of age.
