Marshall T652 Reissue Alnico Speakers Celestion Made Blue Gold

Very rare reissue speakers made by Celestion for only a few hundred Marshall amps such as the 40th Anniversary Offset JTM45 and based on the very first Marshall Alnico speakers Clapton et al used (these are THE Bluesbreaker speakers). I've tested them and they are tremendous and unmistakably alnicos as opposed to the much more plentiful ceramic drivers. Built by Celestion to similar specs to the legendary Blue, Marshall maintains these are 25w and 16ohm speakers, though internet conjecture suggests sticking to the Blue's 15w. These are the speakers that Nels Cline raves about and would make an ideal for a Bluesbreaker or JTM45 (both of those amps are generally 30w and even the Blue is overspec'd - many makers such as Lazy J fit them in 20w amps!!). Vox AC30 Handwired Head and 2x12 Cab (Celestion Blue Alnico Speakers)

This is the AC30 HWH and the ACHWX The current handwird Vox AC30 is meant to as close as to the original early 60’s circuit design and sound as anything they’ve produced of recent decades. It’s pure tone and is a beautiful setup all round. The handwired circuitry is a turret board design with point to point connections. It’s a thing of beauty. No sign of any PCBs here as you can see from the photos. I’ve used this with a 1x12 Celestion Greenback cab too and both sound amazing (especially together..). I’m selling reluctantly, but want something a little smaller and hoping I don’t regret it!:) I’ve had this since new from . New the head alone is £ and blue alnico 2x12 cab £799. Vintage Dallas era Vox AC30 Top Boost Hand wired with Silver Celestion Alnico Speakers. Essentially a JMI era spec with a solid state rectifier. Only around 150 were made to this specification then the supply of the Silver Alnico drivers ran out. Recently serviced with new filter caps and matched JJ power valves fitted. Two pots were also replaced and I had the 3 way toggle for the vibe trem replaced with a pot to give more control over speed. Excellent condition and sounds glorious.
