I had it serviced a couple months ago after using it for the summer so it is ready to go for this coming season. I was only ever used in the summer months on the back of a recreational vessel and never for commercial use. original 25Lfuel tank comes with the engine. the engine can been seen running and also have a video of it running I can send on request. Johnson 15hp outboard short shaft, used twice this year, new impeller (have old one), gearbox oil and plugs. I have owned the engine just over 1 year. Unsure of manufacture year.Poss . Has power output on side. This is a 2 stroke, hard to get as domestically stopped supplying in , very light in comparison to a new 4 stroke. Very fast Hood looks brand new, the motor was refurbished by previous owner, with new decals. Engine starts and runs, seems a bit awkward at hot starting, plenty of compression. Gearbox is fine, no lumps or chunks out of engine or prop. Starter cord is also loose and needs retensioning, this with the starting hot issues the motor is sold as spares or repair only, it has a Yamaha fuel tank (scruffy). I would highly recommend a dealer service before use, no warranty given. Can send video of engine running. Purchased new package of boat and engine, sold the previous inflatable. The petrol pump doesn't work, I was last running it on an outside petrol pump. The engine was running when I last used it on my boat about a year ago but I have no way of testing it now and that is why I'm listing it as spares or repairs. It selects gears just fine. Here i have nicely restored Johnson 9.9 hp 2 stroke outboard engine. It had lots of work put in and came out really nice. First of all it was stripped,cleaned and then had a paint job. Lots of parts were replaced like oil seals,water pick up tube grommet,crank shaft seals,thermostat,gaskets,waterways cleaned,(although engine is fresh water motor),water pump rebuilt,new spark plugs,gear oil,new decals on the hood and more. Actual powerhead was not stripped,because it is in good working order and there was no point of taking it apart,but like i mentioned before,all seals,grommets,gaskets on the powerhead were replaced and after that block was primed and painted with gloss black engine paint. Pictures show engine 99% finished,it will have few little finishing touches so when buyer comes to see it will be ready be fitted to the boat. 4HP Long shaft Suzuki DT4 2 stroke

I bought this wee engine as a non runner and have done a fair bit to it to get it running. This includes: New impeller (genuine suzuki) new spark plug (fitted by previous owner) new fuel filter new fuel shut off new kill switch drained and refilled gearbox oil(oil drianed looked clear, no sign of water) stripped and cleaned the carb and all fuel lines incl the tank The engine now does start, idle, go in and out of gears and stop. It has good compression (when working on it I compression tested it at 120psi) but I think the carb does still need attention as it seems to leak fuel if left for a while with the fuel turned on. The carb either needs set up correctly or may need a carb rebuild kit to have it perfect. A previous owner has painted the engine and leg black and not done a great job! This may have been intentional to prevent theft. I had started to strip the hood to paint it but lost interest in it due to having another outboard now which I've been using. I can show the engine running in a barrel, but what you see is what you get, it does run but is being sold as needing repairs due to the issues with the carb. I wouldn't head to sea with it as it is!
