Johnson 15hp 2 stroke short shaft Outboard Motor

Johnson 15hp outboard short shaft, used twice this year, new impeller (have old one), gearbox oil and plugs. I have owned the engine just over 1 year. Unsure of manufacture year.Poss . Has power output on side. This is a 2 stroke, hard to get as domestically stopped supplying in , very light in comparison to a new 4 stroke. Very fast Hood looks brand new, the motor was refurbished by previous owner, with new decals. Engine starts and runs, seems a bit awkward at hot starting, plenty of compression. Gearbox is fine, no lumps or chunks out of engine or prop. Starter cord is also loose and needs retensioning, this with the starting hot issues the motor is sold as spares or repair only, it has a Yamaha fuel tank (scruffy). I would highly recommend a dealer service before use, no warranty given. Can send video of engine running. Purchased new package of boat and engine, sold the previous inflatable. Mariner 15hp 2 Stroke Outboard Engine Standard (Short) Shaft

This is a rare opportunity to acquire one of the last examples of the lightest 15hp outboard motor ever produced at just 35 kg which is considerably lighter than all modern 4 stroke equivalents. This weight saving makes a huge difference when man-handling the engine on and off small boats and also improves performance when under way. Condition of the engine is very good (see photos) with some paintwork chips commensurate with age. The motor starts and selects gears smoothly and has an excellent flow of cooling water. Here i have nicely restored Johnson 9.9 hp 2 stroke outboard engine. It had lots of work put in and came out really nice. First of all it was stripped,cleaned and then had a paint job. Lots of parts were replaced like oil seals,water pick up tube grommet,crank shaft seals,thermostat,gaskets,waterways cleaned,(although engine is fresh water motor),water pump rebuilt,new spark plugs,gear oil,new decals on the hood and more. Actual powerhead was not stripped,because it is in good working order and there was no point of taking it apart,but like i mentioned before,all seals,grommets,gaskets on the powerhead were replaced and after that block was primed and painted with gloss black engine paint. Pictures show engine 99% finished,it will have few little finishing touches so when buyer comes to see it will be ready be fitted to the boat. It has had an additional unit fitted which cost £300 that generates 12 volts to power units such as a radio and lights. The engine has had less than 50 hours of use. It has never been stored in water and is flushed out after every use and dry stored in our garage. The engine is in immaculate condition. It has been regularly serviced on an annual basis by the dealer that it was purchased from. It had a new timing belt fitted at its last service 1 year ago and has had 7 hrs of usage since.
