LESTER, young male lurcher in rescue kennels, needs a new

Lester is a young lurcher who has that typical combination of energetic bursts and long, lazy hours on the sofa. He is light as a feather on the lead and is so affectionate. He will lean into your leg and sit next to you for ever. He can jump, climb and wriggle through most fences, so will need a very secure garden! A beautiful boy with lots of love to give. He is posessive over food with other dogs, so better suited to a pet-free household. LESTER is currently in kennels at The Sapphire Trust. If you would like to come and meet him please give us a phone; or message us through our facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/TrustSapphire/

BORIS - young Staffordshire Bull Terrier in rescue kennels

BORIS - young Staffordshire Bull Terrier in rescue kennels

ONE OF THE MOST LOVING DOGS WE HAVE EVER MET. Boris is a young male Staffordshire Bull Terrier currently living in rescue kennels and looking for a new home. Boris was picked up as a stray and is estimated to be between 18months and 2 years old. He is a friendly dog with bags of character. He has enjoyed going out for walks and has accompanied other dogs without any problems. He loves to play and has lots of energy. Boris loves playing fetch and is very good at bringing the toy back to be thrown again. Admittedly Boris is not the most handsome dog! - but we think he perhaps resembles a character from a Star-Wars film! Boris main passion in life is metal food bowls. He loves to carry them around and play with them! Although Boris is good with other dogs out on walks it is thought that he needs to be in a home without other pets - where he can get all the attention to himself. Boris is patiently waiting in rescue kennels for his forever home. If you can offer him a home or would like to make an appointment to come and meet him please give Hereford and Worcester Animal Rescue a phone between 10am and 4pm (daily including weekends).

Joey, English Bull Terrier cross in rescue shelter in

Joey, English Bull Terrier cross in rescue shelter in

Joey is a male, 6-year-old English Bull Terrier cross. Joey was rescued from "death row"; having been abandoned by his previous owner and served his 7 days in the council dog pound, he was due to be put-to-sleep. Luckily for Joey The Sapphire Trust came forward at the last minute to offer him a place in their rescue kennels. Joey is such a different dog from the one we rescued from death row.He is now a good weight (some might say portly!), has excellent recall, is toilet-trained and has learnt that not all people are bad. He even wags his tail when he sees us now! Joey is quite self-contained and easy to have around. His priorities are regular food, a comfy bed and a garden to explore and run around in. Joey has happily shared his kennel with a female Staffie. If you would like a quiet companion to share your life with, Joey could be just the dog for you. Sadly Joey has been waiting for a new home for nearly 2 years now. He is a lovely dog who just deserves someone to give him a second chance. If you think you would like to come and meet Joey, and perhaps offer him a home please give us a phone on

POPPY - SMALL CROSS BREED RESCUE TERRIER

POPPY IS A RESCUE DOG NOW IN THE CARE OF A YORKSHIRE RESCUE. SHE IS VACCINATED, TREATED FOR FLEAS AND WORMS AND WILL BE SPAYED. A HOME CHECK AND A VET REFERENCE IS NEEDED TO ADOPT HER. POPPY - TEENY TINY TERRIER Here is little Poppy. This teeny tiny lady has come into care with Princess. She is full of life and character and approx 8 years old. She adores her walks and although she pulls on her lead she is so small and feather like it's un-noticable. We are at present learning her not to pull. We feel Poppy hasn't been walked very much previously. Poppy is very sweet and loving and loves to be picked up and cuddled. She looks like the perfect hand bag dog but she will not be rehomed as an accessory. She loves company and going for walks and would suit an older active person or couple used to terriers. She has previously lived with another larger dog but we feel they are equally as happy apart. Poppy is vocal and busy with other dogs but seems happy in their company or as an only dog. THE HOME SHE NEED Poppy is looking for a home that can offer her walks and fun. She loves people and attention and could live with older children. She has previously lived with children. She loves cuddles, tummy tickles and would suit a semi active home with a retired person or couple. She is best suited with someone who will not leave her all day alone but she is happy to be left for short periods. She is full of character and is quite yappy at times. A typical confident terrier. A terrier loving home would be great for Poppy. What sort of Terrier is she we hear you ask? Who knows! A very funny and quirky looking one is the answer. Read More

WE ENSURE HE FINDS THE PERFECT FOREVER HOME. Hi I am Ernie and I am a Yorkshire Terrier cross breed, I am a lovely friendly little lad of approx 2 years. I am a little shy on first meeting but I love my walks and having company. I am small and friendly and also good with other dogs. I have sadly come into care as a stray dog. I now have to find myself a new start and a new home. I have lots of love to give and know my basic commands and have been house trained in my last home. I will make someone a lovely companion. THE HOME I NEED. Because I am small and cute children will want to pick me up but my rescue think this will make me unhappy. I need a home with no small children and children over 8 years, I don't want to be a handbag dog. I need a home that can offer me play times and walks and also plenty of company. I don't want to be left alone all day as I will be very bored and sad. I would suit a home used to owning Yorkshire Terriers and someone who loves and knows the breed. I could possibly live with a nice natured small dog as I am happy in the company of other hounds. For more details about me contact here. Read More
