HOLLY, 6-month-old puppy in rescue centre in Leominster

HOLLY, 6-month-old puppy in rescue centre in Leominster

Holly and her brother, Robin, were surplus to requirements on a farm. Initially taken to a local vets to be put to sleep, luckily they were referred to Hereford and Worcester Animal Rescue instead as these puppies are greatly deserving of a chance to find new homes. Holly has spent her life so far living in a barn with her siblings. She has found the changes in her circumstances difficult to deal with and is coping by shutting out a lot of it. She is coming out of her shell more every day and showing herself to be both sweet and clever. She's gorgeous and has huge potential. If I could have her, I would! Holly doesn't know much about the outside world and doesn't yet understand walking on a lead. She would be a very rewarding dog to work with and has the brains to learn fast. We are looking for an experienced collie home, prepared to put in the time and effort to help Holly realise her full potential. Holly has been micro-chipped and has had her first vaccinations; she is currently living in our rescue kennels. If you would like to arrange an appointment to come and meet her or to find out more please GIVE US A PHONE between 10am - 4pm daily (including weekends)

Joey, English Bull Terrier cross in rescue shelter in

Joey is a male, 6-year-old English Bull Terrier cross. Joey was rescued from "death row"; having been abandoned by his previous owner and served his 7 days in the council dog pound, he was due to be put-to-sleep. Luckily for Joey The Sapphire Trust came forward at the last minute to offer him a place in their rescue kennels. Joey is such a different dog from the one we rescued from death row.He is now a good weight (some might say portly!), has excellent recall, is toilet-trained and has learnt that not all people are bad. He even wags his tail when he sees us now! Joey is quite self-contained and easy to have around. His priorities are regular food, a comfy bed and a garden to explore and run around in. Joey has happily shared his kennel with a female Staffie. If you would like a quiet companion to share your life with, Joey could be just the dog for you. Sadly Joey has been waiting for a new home for nearly 2 years now. He is a lovely dog who just deserves someone to give him a second chance. If you think you would like to come and meet Joey, and perhaps offer him a home please give us a phone on

Diesel, male mixed-breed puppy in rescue in Leominster

Diesel is a male mixed-breed puppy. He was abandoned by his previous owner and found as a stray, and is now in the care of Hereford and Worcester Animal Rescue. Diesel is sweet-natured, affectionate, slightly bonkers and downright clumsy! When we were trying to take his picture he spent most of the time rolling about on the floor with his legs waving in the air, very helpful! Diesel loves other dogs and has had great fun playing with some of the other dogs at the rescue. He's a lovely boy, but Diesel wouldn't be suitable to live with small children as he is too boisterous and can get carried away when playing. He can be cat tested if necessary.

POPPY - SMALL CROSS BREED RESCUE TERRIER

POPPY - SMALL CROSS BREED RESCUE TERRIER

POPPY IS A RESCUE DOG NOW IN THE CARE OF A YORKSHIRE RESCUE. SHE IS VACCINATED, TREATED FOR FLEAS AND WORMS AND WILL BE SPAYED. A HOME CHECK AND A VET REFERENCE IS NEEDED TO ADOPT HER. POPPY - TEENY TINY TERRIER Here is little Poppy. This teeny tiny lady has come into care with Princess. She is full of life and character and approx 8 years old. She adores her walks and although she pulls on her lead she is so small and feather like it's un-noticable. We are at present learning her not to pull. We feel Poppy hasn't been walked very much previously. Poppy is very sweet and loving and loves to be picked up and cuddled. She looks like the perfect hand bag dog but she will not be rehomed as an accessory. She loves company and going for walks and would suit an older active person or couple used to terriers. She has previously lived with another larger dog but we feel they are equally as happy apart. Poppy is vocal and busy with other dogs but seems happy in their company or as an only dog. THE HOME SHE NEED Poppy is looking for a home that can offer her walks and fun. She loves people and attention and could live with older children. She has previously lived with children. She loves cuddles, tummy tickles and would suit a semi active home with a retired person or couple. She is best suited with someone who will not leave her all day alone but she is happy to be left for short periods. She is full of character and is quite yappy at times. A typical confident terrier. A terrier loving home would be great for Poppy. What sort of Terrier is she we hear you ask? Who knows! A very funny and quirky looking one is the answer. Read More
