Hofner Golden Thinline #21

Very rare Hofner Golden Thinline #21 in great condition for its age. This is a beautiful example of Hofners top of the range guitar built by craftsmen in Germany in and it is one of only 7 that remain listed on the Vintage Hofner website from the 25 or so that were ever produced. It is very similar to the Committee range however it has an 18inch lower bout which gives an amazing sound and all Gold plated fittings. It has a Maple body with the fingerboard made from Grenadilla Ebony on an 11 piece laminated neck. It has two Super 511 gold plated pick ups and a Gold plated tailpiece. The scratch plate is non original as is the new sturdy hard case which was purchased to better protect the guitar. I still have the original Selmer case which can be sent separately if required. Last year the guitar suffered a cracked neck as can be seen in the picture attached however it was repaired, cleaned and set up by Master Luthier James T Payze and sounds as good as it ever did. I have entered this as 'new' because the guitar is basically unused as I only obtained it from Mairents in London a few weeks ago, but quickly realised it didn't suit me. I have not tried to get a better picture than the stock one shown here as my phone wouldn't be able to match the quality.
