As new- Hofner bass - This is the Stu Sutcliffe Tribute version with close spaced original Hofner 'Black Bar' pick-ups.- It is a lovely bass that I bought new, but I just do not play. I wanted to practice watching telly, but it is just too nice to use so casually. You can play it acoustically but of course it is at its best plugged in with the classic Hofner sound! This comes complete with the fitted Hofner Hard Case (with key) and the tags truss rod tool etc. These seem to retail for £659 - without the case on that website so this will be a bargain for somebody. Hofner Committee Brunette archtop acoustic, (Serial Number: ) complete with extremely rare Framus period-correct aftermarket pickup set: I have owned this guitar since and it came with the pickups fitted. (These are a rare and valuable collectors item in their own right!) As far as I know they were purchased along with the guitar. It is in very good vintage player condition but is definitely not a pristine “case queen”. Please note, however, that the neck has never required a reset and the heel has not cracked as often happens with vintage Hofners. The guitar comes with its original, very beaten-up case and a replacement enclosed Van Ghent tuner which I have never got around to fitting. I’m slowly downsizing my collection and have come to realise that, despite my sentimental attachment to this lovely instrument, I seldom play it and so would be better moving it on to a new owner who would hopefully appreciate it as much as I have.
