Brutus - looking for him. I am trying to find a horse / pony who was sold, named as Brutus at the time - around September About hh at the time. Sold by Terena Tyhurst based in Austwick, North Yorkshire. I wanted to buy him but I had no way to get up north to get him and id only just lost my mare so was reticient to jump in at the time. hh 8yr old Piebald Cob Type Gelding ‘Rio’ A fun ride Rio has done a little bit of everything including training clinics, jumping, beach rides, hacking and school work. Will happily take and respond to an experienced rider or is safe enough for children to have a play on in the school. Works in the school in all 3 paces, still with room for improvement in his way of going as is not a school master. Enjoys his jumping staying sane and sensible. Hacking out he is faultless alone or in company, he is excellent in all traffic not fazed by farm machinery/lorries etc. Ridden wise this pony is cracking and offers a lot of fun to any potential new owner. On the ground he requires consistent, firm but fair handling, without it he has shown the ability to take advantage becoming difficult to lead etc so in this sense he not suited to a novice. Hes nice natured, stands like an angel to be clipped, forward going out hacking but steadier in the school, has a massive jump and locks on and goes for it. My boy is 16.3 (ish), thoroughbred gelding. Unfortunately, through no fault of his own, I have been "over-horsed" and he needs someone more confident than myself to take him on. He is an ex - racehorse, retired sound in , and has been retrained. He is quite a strong horse and has a lot of get up go! He is not a novice ride as he does get very excited due to not being worked much lately. I think he would benefit greatly from a new home where he can be used to his potential. I have owned him for a few months after buying him through a friend of a friend. He has very good manners on the ground and is great for the farrier and dentist. He will wait and is not bargey at all. Very patient boy. He loads fine in a lorry bit isn't a fan of trailers.
