For sale is my Gibson USA Les Paul Standard Double Cutaway in Trans Charcoal and, as you can see, it is a lovely example with the AAA grade flame top. The overall condition is good throughout with just one scratch on the upper cutaway worthy of mention (as shown in the pic, * see revision notes below). Comes with the original Gibson hard case. All the hardware and frets are in very good condition with little wear, the neck is nice and straight and has just been restrung and set up. Details: Serial No: Series: Les Paul Standard Double Cut Body: Mahogany, Top: AAA Flame Maple Neck: Mahogany 60s profile, Fingerboard: Rosewood with Trapezoid inlays, Frets: 24 Pickups: 490R/498T Gibson Humbuckers Controls: 3 way switch, Volume & Tone Those in the know agree that the Les Pauls are among the best that Gibson have made and this shows here. So, why am I selling? Basically, I have another Les Paul Standard, I can't justify keeping both and the has more sentimental value for me. I am open to sensible offers so try me. *Revision: It has recently been brought to my attention by a previous owner that the guitar shop who sold this to me weren’t being very honest when they said “it’s just a scratch” (Greenwoods Music, Liverpool, who charged me £ for it). In fact, it is the remains of a repair from where the neck took a knock. I have now had this confirmed by a local luthier (who has 27 years’ experience and knows what he is talking about). However, he also states that the neck is now completely stable and the “scratch” does not affect playability in any way. It is still a fantastic looking, playing and sounding guitar.
