EXTREMELY RARE GIBSON LES PAUL DOUBLE CUT AWAY 1 OF 6 EVER MADE, AT LEAST 4 OF THE 6 GUITAR'S OWNED BY ROCK LEGEND'S STRING & THINGS MODIFIED IN LIKELY THE FIRST MADE This is a very special guitar, and a dream to play with major mojo. The cutaway give's great balance, its comfortable to play and you have good access to the higher frets. This guitar has a historical place in rock music & guitar history.

Gibson Les Paul Standard DC (Double Cut)

For sale is my lovely Gibson USA Les Paul Standard Double Cutaway in Trans Charcoal and as you can see it is a lovely example with the AAA grade flame top. The overall condition is very good throughout with just one scratch on the upper bout worthy of mention (as shown in the pic, although I did use a flash to make it more obvious, and as reflected in the price). It plays and sounds superb and is also all original with no repairs. Comes with the original Gibson hard case. All the hardware and frets are in very good condition with little wear, the neck is nice and straight and has just been restrung and set up. I am open to sensible offers so try me. *Revision: It has recently been brought to my attention by a previous owner that the guitar shop who sold this to me weren’t being very honest when they said “it’s just a scratch” (Greenwoods Music, Liverpool, who charged me £ for it). In fact, it is the remains of a repair from where the neck took a knock. I have now had this confirmed by a local luthier (who has 27 years’ experience and knows what he is talking about). However, he also states that the neck is now completely stable and the “scratch” does not affect playability in any way. It is still a fantastic looking, playing and sounding guitar. Gentlemen, set your faces to 'Stunned'. Here we have a magnificent Gibson Les Paul Standard from . It's more than a quarter of a century old, with all the classic Gibson brilliance that you expect from that era. Comes in Heritage Cherry Sunburst and it's big, brilliant and, importantly, unchambered. It's got THAT look and THAT sound. Has a few marks here and there, as you'd expect. However, it's clearly lived a privileged life of luxury, with only a couple of minor dings here and there. The most significant is pictured: A tiny indentation on the back of the neck that you absolutely do not feel while playing (look at it compared to my skinny finger to see how small it is). Had a recent pro setup, including complete fret levelling and crowning. Case is rock solid and has that old-style thick shroud that is more like a blanket. The combination lock doesn't work, but if that surprises you then you've never seen a Gibson case before! Also the restraining strap could use glueing or stapling if you actually care about that. I don't, so I've never bothered. Basically, you don't get a Les Paul Standard near this good if you buy new. Collection from Southampton. Ok, I've decided to sell my beautiful Gibson Les Paul Standard. As you can see, this was not an easy decision, but it doesn't get the use it deserves, so.. In standard trim with, in unmolested condition, and free from breaks and nastiness, with a fantastic AA flame top (could be AAA, can't remember).
