Old and nice 4/4 violin. The label inside reads "Giuseppe Nonini Udine ". (I dont know if the label is original) The overall length of the violin is 59,2cm / inch. The body is 36cm (inch). There is a crack at the front and the instrument needs a good cleaning and service. Maybe the furnish of the front is not original. Please make sure that you see all the pictures. The instrument is lined and full blocked. The back is nicely flamed and made out of 1 part. If you have any questions, please ask. Please also view my other auctions with instruments. Recently set up (new bridge, new pegs, new tail-piece, new strings etc) and restored to playing condition in London at a top violin workshop. There is no identifying label but it is probable that the provenance is German c., possibly originating in Markneukirchen. This violin would suit a good student. The octagonal stick is straight, perfect camber, superb pernambuco and very good condition, the beautiful original ebony frog is fully hand made and fully silver mounted. Authentic. From late s. Not a copy. It's been rehaired recently by a professional bow restorer. The tip has been re tipped too. It is for professional violin players. It's 29.5 inches, weighs 60.7 gms.
