I am a violin collector and have for sale a very beautiful antique violin labelled Jacobus Stainer () but almost certainly from the workshop of celebrated 19th century maker Freidrich August Glass (ca.). LOB of 356mm. This is an instrument that stands out in every sense. It is in wonderful condition and has a gorgeous two-piece flamed maple back. The choice of wood is excellent and it is finished in a sumptuous rich hazelnut varnish. As with all violins from this workshop the craftsmanship is of the very best quality. It has very full arching producing a wonderfully big, bold, resonant and yet enchantingly mature sounding instrument that is highly responsive and easy to play. Fitted with Evah Pirazzi strings and professionally set up. She is in an  good and restored condition.  She got a warm and beautiful sound.    The Strings are new, but they are only a simple set of steelstrings. You can play on these strings as well, but maybe you prefer other or better strings. The violin is ready to play on without any problems.  Inside are a lable: N. Lupot Luthier de la Musique Paris i mention this label but its not a guarantee that it is original The used wood is spruce for the top-plate and maple for the rest.  The violin got no cracks. The purfling/inlays are real. Length of the violin:  593 mm Weight:  about 478 g The shipping to the USA is 45 $. Thats the cheapest way. I send with DHL and the  violin is insurred.
