DIESEL IS A RESCUE DOG CURRENTY IN KENNELS LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED HOME This medium sized Rottie male is in need of an experienced Rottie home with no children. Diesel came into kennels as a stray and so no background is known on him. Whoever takes him on should be aware that he has not been socialised and he cannot live with kids or even if there are visiting kids. He will need to be controlled at all times and would need plenty of training, it is advisable that he be neutered asap. He has been boisterous, giddy, mouthy and friendly in kennels but he can sometimes be a little grumpy and growly (eg if he is pushed down when he jumps up). He is black and tan in colour. He is in need of a good bath and groom, he has a few matts on his back. He has more than likely been a yard/guarrd dog and left to his own devices which could explain the reason for his grumpy behaviour as he may not be used to being handled much., probably his only interaction has been when he has been fed. He doesnt appear to know how to walk properly on the lead either, he jumps around a lot so has more than likely not been out for a walk ever. He will need further training and socialising if he is to be rehomed as a pet but he does appear to know some basic commands. A secure garden will be needed and a responsible, sensible owner who knows how to behave around dogs like him. He tries to stay clean in his indoor kennel. He hasnt shown any aggression towards other dogs in kennels so has possibly been with other dogs more than humans. This lad is not for the faint hearted so careful consideration should be made if you are thinking of applying but we think given time and space he will make a loving dog. Read More

Good experienced home needed

Barney is a 7 year old bullmastiff x Rottweiler whom I have had since a puppy. He needs to be rehomed due to no fault of his own as I now have to work full time and have back problems so am unable to walk him. He is very good around children and some other dogs, has no health problems, has been neutered and loves affection. He is a large dog so would need a home with experience of larger breeds, he sheds (quite a lot) and drawls (quite a lot!) This is my nearly 4 year old collie x lab she is 3/4 collie, she's vaccinated microchipped and spade, this is an heart breaking decision for me but I can do no more than what I have for her, her ideal home would be as an only dog even though she lives with 3 others and a couple with no kids or older children 10 plus, she's a lovely dog but has very high herding and prey drive, no matter if she's walked a mile or 10 miles a day I'm still having the same problems, I have 2 very laid back Rottweilers and she targets my male mostly if he gets a bit excited she attacks him, I have 5 children and the youngest is 2 nearly and she's wary of him if he's excited, she's ok if the atmosphere is calm but as soon as the energy changes to hectic or excitement then she's unpredictable, if my toddler drops food she's will go for it but if another one of the dogs does she attacks but yet she will eat out the same dog bowl for dog food, my house feels like a prison to the point my kids can't play unless she's shut in the kitchen, when I say she attacks it's snappy bites but she has caused puncture wounds on the other dogs I'm really at my wits end I love her dearly but feel something as to give my boy Rottie looks constantly miserable I have had her since she was 8 weeks old and she seems to get worse as she gets older, please help I will not hand her over to anyone who isn't suitable and I will be carrying out home checks Read More
