Coming from a musical family, thanks to his father Richard, he has been exposed to Jazz from an early age, having the honour to attend tours and performances of the legendary saxophone player Ernie Watts for several years. Thanks to these influences, Terry's knowledge and music enthusiasm have been solidified during the years. Learning to play the drums has been one of the best things I have ever done. As well as being a seriously fun activity its an amazing foundation instrument that helps with any other musical discipline. I have been playing drums for over 13 years both live and in the studio and will for the rest of my life. I have a few students currently learning with me and am ready to take on more. The lessons will cover the basics including stick technique, simple rudiments, basic beats and some critical listening. The lessons will advance to more complex drumming and when students are ready I cover 'introduction to playing with other musicicans', as I am also an accomplished guitarest. Students get a chance to pick their favourite song, learn it in lessons and play it! This is an impaortant part of my teaching programme as playing with other musicians is intergral to becoming a great drummer.
