Details about   Mens Boys Vintage Traditional Harris Tweed

Quality Harris Tweed Men's Jacket, suitable for Hunting or Showing. A warm heavyweight tweed consisting of colours, blue, green, grey, beige and brown. Complete with brown leatherette elbow patches, not sure if real leather. Measurements from armpit to armpit is 19" from base of collar down the back to the bottom is 29" Shoulder seam to cuff is 25", though there is a good amount of hem to make longer. There is a small hole on the fold of the lapel so not easily noticeable, as shown in pics and there may be the odd small hole in the weave, which if necessary could be repaired to prolong the life of the jacket but I have had difficulty in identifying where they are, as they are difficult to find and see again on a second look.  Couple of tiny holes in the lining. The jacket would benefit from a dry clean to freshen up for the coming season apart from that is a very serviceable jacket of renowned quality. Please view other items I also have listed.

This is a beautiful, navy Vintage Equestrian Horse Riding Hat which would make a great addition to any collection. As you can see on the inside there is a red lining which has two labels. One says: Saddle Master, Riding Wear. Craftsman-tailored by Harris Meyer, Made In England.  The other says: Approved to British Standard, B.S , Made In England, Licence No, . The hat does show signs of wear and is a little dusty. I did not want to try and clean it as I did not want to ruin it. It has a buckle strap. there is a small tear on the inside of the lining which can be see in one of the photographs. Some of the lining also appears to have come unstuck but other than this, it is in good condition.   As I do not know the history of the hat; whether it has been in an accident or not, I would not recommended for protective use. A lovely tactile conker / chestnut coloured saddle, name plate missing off rear of saddle, has some nice repairs / distressing. Have added a few ideas in the photos, could be converted to a desk seat, perhaps footstool or shop window prop / decoration Have tried to take pictures in all lighting as our room is quite dark, flash has been used in some pictures, would say the leather looks the tones of conker.  Beautiful old leather saddle.  Was used fairly recently for getting new horses used to the weight of it.  Quite small measuring   inches from front to back. Has recently become more of a fixture in the house as I've polished and waxed it up to its former glory and considered mounting on a fitting to use as a stool!  Looks great hanging over a bannister or something.
