Details about   VINTAGE Harris Meyer Equestrian Horse

This is a beautiful, navy Vintage Equestrian Horse Riding Hat which would make a great addition to any collection. As you can see on the inside there is a red lining which has two labels. One says: Saddle Master, Riding Wear. Craftsman-tailored by Harris Meyer, Made In England.  The other says: Approved to British Standard, B.S , Made In England, Licence No, . The hat does show signs of wear and is a little dusty. I did not want to try and clean it as I did not want to ruin it. It has a buckle strap. there is a small tear on the inside of the lining which can be see in one of the photographs. Some of the lining also appears to have come unstuck but other than this, it is in good condition.   As I do not know the history of the hat; whether it has been in an accident or not, I would not recommended for protective use. These and the others I am listing were found in the attic of a very old house I lived in, but I have just moved and don't want to store them any more, they would be good in a museum or for someone learning fashion or tailoring. They have been expertly made on savile row in London and there is so much hand stitching it must have taken ages to make them and a lot of money to have them made. The material is like a thick cotton, could be linen. There are some moth holes, a buckle is also missing but they are very old, so you must take that into account before bidding. The waist measures 26" all the way round when fastened. From waist to the bottom of the leg measures 30". All the buttons are complete and the silver ones at the bottom of the cuff have Huntsmans London W on them. a  set of four leather  event  / brushing boots by g.f.s with a soft neoprene  type lining unfortunately two of them have what appears to be glue on the inside but are perfectly useable  and not even noticeable when in use. also there is a pair of soft brown over reach boots these are brand new and never used they have double velcro fastening.

Quality Harris Tweed Men's Jacket, suitable for Hunting or Showing. A warm heavyweight tweed consisting of colours, blue, green, grey, beige and brown. Complete with brown leatherette elbow patches, not sure if real leather. Measurements from armpit to armpit is 19" from base of collar down the back to the bottom is 29" Shoulder seam to cuff is 25", though there is a good amount of hem to make longer. There is a small hole on the fold of the lapel so not easily noticeable, as shown in pics and there may be the odd small hole in the weave, which if necessary could be repaired to prolong the life of the jacket but I have had difficulty in identifying where they are, as they are difficult to find and see again on a second look.  Couple of tiny holes in the lining. The jacket would benefit from a dry clean to freshen up for the coming season apart from that is a very serviceable jacket of renowned quality. Please view other items I also have listed.
