Neue Schule Tranz Angled Lozenge - Used a coue of times but turned out to be too big for my horse. I have 2 of the same for sale. Around £80 from new. If your horse is tentative into the contact (inconsistent), the NS Eggbutt offers the stability within the mouth needed to boost the horse's confidence causing it to seek the bit taking the rein forwards. Very beneficial for short tense necks. Also excellent for directional control. Unlike traditional eggbutts, feel and response is not lost i.e. the horse will not fix against the hand.

Recommended to go 1/4 inch up so as not to pinch the horse, so fits a 5.5 mouth. The brilliant all rounder, control without severity, a handy piece of kit. The NS Universal offers control without discomfort or severity. It is brilliant for faster work such as jumping etc as you can turn much more easily and it generally eliminates the head toss when asking for a downward transition, or lengthening and shortening in between fences. If you need to upgrade from a snaffle, it is highly recommended as you are staying with a mild mouthpiece but subtly employing other pressure points. There are four rein options including the curb strap and Pelham roundings. ©

Neue schule 5 3/4 Wilkie bit. Has been used but in good condition. No reserve so grab yourself a bargain. The Beval cheeks have two settings. Option 1 is the action of a loose ring baucher (poll pressure) and Option 2 is the action of a mild gag. The Beval is particularly popular with the show ponies, often used for lead rein and first ridden. It is not a severe bit although it offers a little more control and helps especially the child rider as it promotes outline, head carriage and responsiveness (it helps the child to bring the pony’s nose in). It is available with a small, neat bradoon ring and is perfectly acceptable on the show pony’s head.
