This bit was purchased from new at huge expence!!!  So a bargain now!! It does have chomp marks on it, as would be expected for a used bit, but other than that is is excellent condidtion.  It is 4.5" in width and 10mm diameter, making it perfect for the smaller pony's mouth.  It is 'Dressage' legal and wonderful for small riders doing first ridden.  As the cheek pieces and rings are reduced in size to be totally in proportion to a pony's head size.

NS Baucher/hanging cheek snaffle Size 5.5 In very good condition with only slight chomp marks on mouthpiece but still very smooth and no sharp edges. Save on the RRP of around £85. Dressage legal as a Snaffle or as a Bradoon used in conjunction with a Weymouth. Explanation from the manufacturer; The action of this bit works mainly on poll pressure, when a contact is taken the upper arm is angled forwards causing the mouthpiece to lift - thereby suspending it in the mouth and reducing pressure across the tongue and the bars, very beneficial for sensitive mouths! Any extension above the mouthpiece causes poll pressure - this in itself has a head lowering action. However, if the horse is going forward into a contact and is active behind this will encourage a rounding action and will help tremendously with the outline.

Lovely little pony Neue Schule Baucher, only worn once by our little Section B, bought as a 4.25 but it really is a 4" and thus too small for our mare, hence reason for sale. But you will not get a more perfect bit for a small pony with a delicate head, the shanks are so elegant which is unique to the brand, and this bit will be stunning in any Showring. The Salox gold encourages salivation and mouthing, increasing bit acceptance and assisting the creation of a natural outline. Dressage Legal also. Priced to sell as we have no use for this near immaculate bit and would rather it went to a good home.
