Brand New Double Bridle and bits. I am selling a  lovely brand new double bridle which was given as a present some time ago, but my youngster grew bigger than cob size so it has never been used or even tried on.  I have just moved house and so am selling unused items of tack. When unpacked one of the cheek pieces has gone astray! so I have bought a brand new pair to match the original. I don't think anybody would even notice but I want to be completely honest. I am also including double bridle bits (sliding Weymouth with port and bradoon bit) plus curb chain with the bridle, these are not brand new but excellent condition. see photo's) Bridle still has tabs with Derby House label. 2 pairs of reins, the plaited pair are slightly wider than the plain pair which is correct for double bridle. 1 Headpiece 2 cheek pieces " Browband  14" 1 noseband.. 1" wide    28"length (around nose). 1 extra headpiece for bridoon bit with cheekpiece This is a cob size bridle 5/8th" wide leather (other than noseband) Bits approx. 5 1/2" (see photo's). Good quality old English leather double bridle Brown leather, full size Complete with stainless steel bits and two plain reins Plain browband,stitched noseband Metal curb chain Leather lip strap, which is missing buckle side Snaffle bit measures 6 ins and curb 5.5 ins The cheekpieces and reins are stitched, so you would have to alter if you wanted to change the bits One rein has a billet fastening on just one side (has been like so since I've owned it, and only actually noticed when taking pics!) Cheekpieces are 1.5 cms wide The bridle is over 30 years old, and there is some dotted rusting to the bits Otherwise, it is in good condition, and has been well cared for Was used in the showring, but has been redundant for last five years! It is quality old fashioned English leather - don't seem to make them like this anymore!
