Here is my beautiful Working hunter saddle.. I had the saddle made for  a horse that had to be PTS and have kept it until now, but its needing a new home. Houghtons made this saddle for me using a dressage tree, so it sits you in a perfect position for showing, workers, equitation, or dressage. I have done everything using it, even some endurance rides, its very comfortable having extra padding in the seat. I had another saddle made at the same time, a black dressage, and did more dressage than showing, and so this saddle has been quite lightly used.  It is Medium width, but could easily come down to narrow, however I don't think it would go up to a wide.   It is made from English tanned Buffalo hide in a dark nut brown. and is in immaculate condition, no damage anywhere. Always stored in a cool room and covered. It is a lovely saddle which cost me £  selling with matching buffalo hide stirrup leathers, these cost  £50. I am putting a starting price on the saddle.

Farrington Working Hunter Saddle. 17" seat. Medium width, (see photos with tape to make your own judgement of D-D). Black leather. Very good condition saddle. Comfortable seat. Tree is sound, flocking even, no fading of colour in the leather.  All girth straps are sound with no stretching or pulling of holes and no cracks or splits. Minimally marked where stirrup leathers have rubbed, as you would expect from a used saddle. Has girth buckle guards on both sides, just removed one for purpose of photos. There are two minuscule marks on the seat - more indentations than anything - not punctured at all and no detriment to the saddle, (see photos). Brass D-rings. No rusting to stirrup bars. Been used on a 16.2 ISH, sadly matured out of it. Willing to bring to try on within 20 miles of Junction 31 M1. Delivery by courier £20, or can collect in person, or will deliver within 20 miles.

This never saw much use as we had a second one that fitted better. I'm afraid I don't know much about horse stuff so if you need further measurements, photos etc please tell me exactly what you need and I will try my best. I've given it a clean with neats foot oil (whatever that is ?) no doubt it would benefit from further polishing/attention but to my inexpert eye it does look to be in very good condition. I recall it was thought to be quite narrow.  The ideal scenario would be that you try it out,  so i'll accept returns on condition that collection and return is at your expense and within 2 weeks.

Wonderful little 17.5" working hunter saddle. Wide fitting with a flared tree for those rounder native types, these saddles are like gold dust and I have hung onto it until now for that very reason. In very good condition with some usual wear on the suede where your leg/stirrup leather sits. Has moveable knee blocks should you require them for jumping or without for showing. This item is for sale elsewhere and I will not accept returns should it not fit.

Stunning Lavinia Mitchell saddle sadly for sale! Only selling as I need an 18" seat but have already ordered the same again just in the larger seat as it's such a lovely saddle. 4 years old I have shown the saddle with tape measure to show width as it's not size marked but is very wide and fantastic for flat backed witherless cobs please ask if you would like me to take additional additional photos or measurements:) It's approx 8.5/9 inches from d to d ring which would suggest a wide to x wide fit.   English leather excellent condition slight wear where the stirrup leathers sit and on the under side of the flap where the girth sits as you would expect from a used saddle and shown in photos Super comfy and secure seat the VSD is very similar to working hunter so ideal for horses with large shoulders as it doesn't block the movement. Stirrup bar location designed to help you get the best seat and should hip heel alignment and adjustable knee blocks to give you a secure seat. This saddle has a small postcode stamped by the girth straps a letter to confirm sale of saddle will be sent with saddle but this is still an excellent theft deterrent as makes it much easier to identify. A few white hairs remain on the saddle but I have done my best to hoover and remove all I can these do not effect the saddle in any way. Price reflects the need for a quick sale (as can't but new saddle until this is sold!) and not the quality!   Please note no returns on this item it is sold as seen so if u need extra photos or anything   please ask:) Post within 3-4 working days, and will be parcel force 48hours or equivalent and tracked.
