Stunning Barry Swain Working Hunter saddle. 17.5 inch seat.  Wide to extra wide.  Swede seat.  Brown leather.. Excellent condition.  A few minor scratches but nothing major. All stitching and leather is intact. Measurements are as accurate as possible... 9.5 inches from where the D ring would sit. 7.5 inches from top billet to billet.  11.5 inches width from lower billet to billet.  6.5 inch gullet.

18" measured stud to cantell and " pommel to cantell black dressage saddle with fantastic big knee blocks which are fitted to the saddle panel so that the saddle flap is shaped to accommodate that  making for a good close contact feel,lovely shape to the seat and inlayed panel on the back of the cantell  .recently it had a new tree and girth straps fitted by barry swain of walsaw [which cost over £400] i have used it 3 times since for an hour each time fantastic to ride on lovely wide wait bearing panells a highly sought after saddle sadly only for sale horse now retired from dressage as a hack viewing welcome please note i do not accept returns  photos of width not very clear but measures approx 10"

This is an old but very useful saddle. I've used it for BE eventing and a friend has used it on a horse that was otherwise impossible to fit. Horses seem to love it. It is currently fitted for a wide horse but I believe it can be altered by Barrie Swain. Has short straps for a long girth. Brown serge panels. Wide surface area. In fantastic condition, no scuffs/marks. Always looked after. If I'm honest, it is quite a hard seat, but I'm quite skinny! I've put up with it because the horse's comfort comes first. Read More

Hi thanks for taking a look. This is a 17 and half inch samber workjng hunter saddle... medium... in black. It has been very well looked after and my 16hh Welsh Section D has done well with it. It needs a new home and hope it can bring as much fun using it as it has me and my horse Christopher Robin. £380 i am told to put as a price. I would actually take min of £200 to a good home. 15" leather saddle.  Beautiful soft supple little saddle, used in the show ring, usual signs of wear, all stitching ect is intact. The makers plate has worn so no makers name. Only for sale as my daughters bottom no longer fits in the seat !  Has been used a a medium fit on my  13hh (133cm) working hunter pony (welsh section b), i have added pictures of the saddle in use to give an idea of the fit. I got this saddle for my 16"2 ISH, whom sadly had to be put to sleep just over a month ago due to a genetic problem. It was professionally fitted as an3 year old and I have never had any problems.   It is a brown working hunter saddle from the British saddler "Silhouette". It has a small scratch on the back of he saddle as you can see on the final picture I have added. I adore this saddle, it is extremely comfortable for both horse and rider. We competed in dressage, jumped and hacked with this saddle.   It measures 10" from D ring to D ring (as shown in the picture) and has a 17" seat. I have also measured the width between the padding level with the D rings which is 6 inches (shown in picture). Any more questions please ask.
