Exceptional mid century lamp.Entirely made of (sheet) metal.Fine geometrical design based on rectangular and square planes.The lamp has two types of "sides": the closed sides with an indirect light effect and the open sides with direct vision on the selected light bulb.This suggests that the lamp may have been intended as a wall light but there is nothing in the way of a wall mount or indications for this. In our opinion, it is more beautiful and logical to use it as a pendant light as presented here. Two colours: taupe and cream- white.Not signed (or no longer visible). Probable origin and period: Western Europe, around .Takes one E27 light bulb, in a screw fitting. Including 200 cm new cord, so ready for high ceilings.The current suspension has been installed by us and is not original. On the side edge on top of the suspension is a factory hole. It is not known what this was for. Measurements:Height: 20 cmWidth: 19.5 cmDepth: 15.5 cm.Condition:Good.Metal in very good condition.No deformation or damage.Various traces of use and age on the paint. There are mild darker spots due to heat and sunlight.There are various scratches and dots in the paint, especially in two of the three taupe planes.Very slight corrosion on some of the edges. Beautiful mid-century pendant light with post-modernistic influences. A relatively large glass pendant light shaped like a light bulb. The soft honey colour guarantees a very warm light effect. The fitting of the glass hood is made of brass-coated aluminium and attached with three screws that can easily be undone by hand. Not signed. Judging from the design, colour and original wiring it dates back to the period . Fits one E27 light bulb.Includes a 200 cm cord, so it is also ready for high ceilings. Measurements:Height: 37 cmLamp shade diameter at its widest: 21 cmCondition:Very good to excellent.The glass lamp shade is in beautiful undamaged condition, even at the edges that are hidden in the fitting. This Murano glass pendant light is quite an eye-catcher both in its illuminated and non-illuminated state. The design consists of three leaf like panels with an outward folding edge. Each segment is manufactured from a mixture of thick transparant and smokey quartz coloured Murano glass. The panels are held together by metal bolts which don't detract from the lamp's delicate composition. The lamp is suspended from the ceiling by the original non-extendable (!) spiral cable. We kept the cable in place as it's proof of its original condition. It has been checked and is still safe to use (220V European standard). But if, for esthetic reasons, a buyer would like to replace the cable, it would be a straightforward job for an electrician or handy man to do. Unknown designer - cascade pendant light with three points

Original mid-century cascade pendant light with lovely details.The base is made of aluminium. The middle ring is possibly also aluminium or metal.The middle ring is coated orange on the inside and equipped with a layer of faux rosewood veneer (plastic) on the outside.The ring is finished with glass prisms. The top and bottom shell are made of aluminium. Only the bottom one is coated white on the inside.The full effect is very nice. There are differences in height, the shells have different lengths, the indirect light between the shells and the ring differ and it has genuine glass prisms.The lamp also still has its original aluminium ceiling splitter/shade.Every lamp has one E14 light bulb with a screw cap.The cords are approximately 133 cm long measured from the top of each lamp. The height can easily be adjusted at the ceiling splitter using the pull relievers.They can also be hung at the same height.The lamp isn't signed (any more). Period: around .Measurements:Every lamp is 26.5 cm highThe diameter is approx. 10 cmDiameter of ceiling splitter: 27 cmCondition:In good condition.Lamp is complete and in original condition. The cover nut at the bottom of the ceiling splitter is missing. This has been replaced by a lovely brass nut.All prisms are still present and undamaged!Signs of wear are primarily found on the inside: - The white coating of the bottom shells has various scratches. - The orange coating in the ring has some discolouration due to heat action and minor signs of wear- The edges of the original lamp holders are slightly dried out and crumbling. This does not affect the functioning and safety of the lamp. In the long term, they could be replaced, which is easy on this lamp.There are some scratches to the exterior, but nothing that would be noticed during daily use.Please see the photos for further details. Splendid mid century cascade pendant lightUnknown designer/manufacturer. Raak Amsterdam has made more of this type of cascade lamp but it cannot be proven this one is from there.There is still alabel in the ceiling divider, with articl numbers.Polished glass shades. The cylinders above the shades are plastic and these are coated with a palissander wood pattern and a gold decorative band.The ceiling divider is in the shape of a star.It takes E27 bulbs.Measurements:The height of the lowest shade to the arm of the ceiling divider is: 80 cm (ceiling divider height is 5 cm)Height of the shade and cover: 24.5 cmDiameter of the glass shade: 8 cmCondition:Very good to excellent considering its age.Each shade has slight chip damage at the top edge but this is hidden under both the ring over the fitting holder and the cylinder, thus it remains out of sight.Further, the shades are pristine, including the bottom edge.The original wiring has been checked and we have added 5 new strain reliefs above the shades for additional security.The lamps hang in cascade. The distances between the heights are not 100% symmetrical but this can be achieved by shortening the cables at some points.The photos provide a good impression. Read More
