Slightly larger and higher off the ground than standard single bed. Only one user and in good condition. Size - height of bedstead head end 105 cm rising to 112 in middle and height of feet end frame 87cm rising to 93cm. Width of frame 110 and length 190 cm. Wooden slats on which mattress is placed. Victorian bedstead

This magnificent Victorian bed has been owned by 2 families since it was new. It was the bridle bed for a young couple who passed away in their 90's some 40 years ago. I bought it 35 years ago, from there spinster daughter when she moved house. It must be over 110 yrs old and in original condition with chain link base and decorative side irons. Never seen one like this before, highly decorative. It comes complete with nearly new mattress, slept on a dozen times at most in the spare bedroom. Will be sad to see it go but need the space in our small cottage. It will have to be partially dismantled to get it downstairs. Buyer must collect and be prepared for this. Read more
