Stunning French Bergere Painted Extending Dining Table and 6 Chairs. Gorgeous bergere style French painted dining suite. The table has extension piece so that it can be used in two different size options. When fully extended the overall length is just over 190 cm long which will easily seat 6 or even 8 ppl. The chairs have been freshly upholstered in lovely Laura Ashleys fabric.A gorgeous set to seat the whole family and will definately be a focal point in any dining room. The set has been painted with Annie Sloan Chalk Furniture Paint in Old White. The colour compliments almost all colour schemes. The paint has been waxed for protection and durability. The table top has been beautifully sanded back to remove the old dark varnish and coated with several layers of Danish Oil, and is now a lovely desirable golden brown(looks lighter in real life rather than on the picture)The table simply extends by pulling the table apart at both ends and adding the extension piece in the centre. The 6 matching chairs 2 of which are carvers. They are a beautiful shape with nice detail and lovely rattan backs. They are in excellent condition, strong and sturdy. The seat cushions are nice and thick and have been newly upholstered with a beautiful fabric that compliments the colour and style of the set perfectly. The fabric is pvc Laura Ashleys which provide extra protection against stains, spillages and messy eating children. Overall this set has been refurbished to an excellent standard in our workshop. Please remember the table and chairs has had a previous life so will show very minor signs of use through out its life but this just adds to the character and charm of a shabby chic style set. This set along with all our pieces have been hand painted so may show signs of brush marks or the odd drip mark. It is not a factory spray painted finish so if this isn't to your taste then maybe shabby chic isn't for you. Please check through all our photos for detail. Shabby chic antique French dining table and 4 chairs

This stunning antique French dining table and 4 chairs have been painted in Annie Sloan's graphite chalk paint and then protected with clear wax. The paint has had a thin coat so as the wood peeks through in places to give it the popular shabby chic look. The table top which has two extending pieces at either end and sit under the table top when not needed has been sanding back to reveal the beautiful lattice effect inlay. This has then been enhanced with dark wax to give it a natural warmth and for protection. The table legs are a beautiful Queen Anne style with scrolled feet with lovely carved detailing along each side. The chairs have been recovered in toile de jouy fabric in graphite and then finished with a dark grey trim. The chairs are also vintage and solid oak with baroque style carved detailing. This set was made in and as such it has some age related marks i haven't tried to hide these as it this that gives it is character and shows its history but it still has lots of year of use ahead. This extending dining table and 4 beautifully carved chairs have been painted in Annie Sloan's old white chalk paint. The finish has been slightly distressed to give it the popular shabby chic look and then protected with clear wax. The table top sits on a single solid carved base with metal claw feet. When the top is closed its round and quite small so perfect for smaller spaces but can be extended to seat 6 on special occasions. The 4 chairs have been upholstered in a black and white Aquitaine floral print and finished with a black trim. As with any re furbished piece it has picked up the odd knock along the way but this only lends itself to a more authentic shabby chic feel. The table and chairs are good and sturdy with many more years of use. I am offering this on a collection basis only but i am able to get a quote from a courier.
