My beautiful boy Murphy is 6 months old. He is in need of a home but he needs to be with someone who knows what they are doing. This is a very honest post we rescued Murphy thinking we could give him a better life. We did give him a better home but we honestly had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. Murphy came to us at 16 weeks old having had no socialisation or any training. Since then he has come on in leaps and bounds. When we first got him he was a ball of nerves and all he wanted was cuddles and he lived on my feet. Now though he is very very friendly. So much so that he is too friendly, but only on his terms. He is very very jumpy to people he loves. He does know the command down but he soon forgets it when he's in his love zone. He has the basic commands sit wait leave look here and lie down. He also can do sit pretty which is very cute. He is toliet trained reasonably well too. The problem is Murphy missed out on a very important period in socialising and when out in a walk he becomes that very scared nervous dog again. He barks and jumps and pretty much has no skills attention all in the lead. His nervousness comes through in barking and shaking which looks terrifying but I can promise you 100% there is nothing aggressive about my boy. He has not been castrated so at 6 months old he is getting a little big big for his boots but this is in no way aggressive. He is fantastic with children. All he wants to do is pklay tugging rope and fetch. He will quite often bring his toy and sit at your feet, the only trouble is that he is very jumpy and still slightly nippy so I would suggest no small children. He is definitely not good with cats though. He has been microchips, vaccinated flead and wormed. He has just had a full health check last week. He is ready for castrating but this is a personal choice. He will come with everything from bed toys brush and food.

I sadly have had to make such a hard decision to re-home my beautiful 11 month old Rough Collie Male. I have had him since 7 weeks old, He is such a gentle giant and has a loving nature. He is very clever and can do commands and open doors. There is a genuine reason for sale which I am happy to discuss with any potential new owner. He is up to date with vaccinations, wormed and flea treated. Fine with other small animals, not sure on big dogs?!?!

Beautiful Border collie puppies in Mansfield

6 beautiful border collie puppies born 19th Feb from our lovely family pets so mum and dad can both be seen with pups. Viewings are from this weekend 11 th March and pups will be ready for their forever homes on 21 April when they will be 8 weeks old. We have 3 boys and one girl left and the pups will be regularly wormed and at 8 weeks receive their 1st Vacination and microchip. Experienced collie home needed

This is my nearly 4 year old collie x lab she is 3/4 collie, she's vaccinated microchipped and spade, this is an heart breaking decision for me but I can do no more than what I have for her, her ideal home would be as an only dog even though she lives with 3 others and a couple with no kids or older children 10 plus, she's a lovely dog but has very high herding and prey drive, no matter if she's walked a mile or 10 miles a day I'm still having the same problems, I have 2 very laid back Rottweilers and she targets my male mostly if he gets a bit excited she attacks him, I have 5 children and the youngest is 2 nearly and she's wary of him if he's excited, she's ok if the atmosphere is calm but as soon as the energy changes to hectic or excitement then she's unpredictable, if my toddler drops food she's will go for it but if another one of the dogs does she attacks but yet she will eat out the same dog bowl for dog food, my house feels like a prison to the point my kids can't play unless she's shut in the kitchen, when I say she attacks it's snappy bites but she has caused puncture wounds on the other dogs I'm really at my wits end I love her dearly but feel something as to give my boy Rottie looks constantly miserable I have had her since she was 8 weeks old and she seems to get worse as she gets older, please help I will not hand her over to anyone who isn't suitable and I will be carrying out home checks Read More

ALICE NEEDS A ROTTIE EXPERIENCED HOME

ALICE IS CURRENTLY IN A REHOMING CENTRE IN SOUTH YORKSHIRE. Alice is a friendly, 7year old Rottie female. She iS, medium/large in size. Alice is finding kennels stressful and really dislikes going in her indoor kennel so she has started to jump up, mouthe, be quite vocal and grumbly with some staff when trying to put her to bed, otherwise she is very friendly and still full of beans. It's possible she has only lived outdoors and is worried about being put indoors, or maybe it is because she doesn't want to be alone, we just don't know but hopefully in the right home this would not be a problem. Kennels are not easy for most dogs, but some struggle more than others. Alice has never shown any other aggression and the sooner she gets a home the better. She is a typical Rottie and will guard her kennel - especially around other dogs and anyone who knows the breed will understand this as she is a guarding breed after all. She tries to stay clean in her indoor kennel and appears to know commands. It is unknown if Alice will be sociable with other dogs when out of the kennel environment as the kennels do not have the facility to test her. This is the gorgeous Oliver a 2yr old Romanian Shepherd cross. This big boy oozes love. Tb Mare 9 years old 16hh needs experienced home.

Very sad sale of my tb mare. I bought her as an easy ride five months ago but she has not settled with me. I would suggest an experienced tb owner who is willing to take her back to basics. She has lost muscle tone as she has been out of regular ridden work for about 12 weeks. I have had her back done, teeth done and saddle bought and fitted to her to try to eliminate any issues. DIESEL IS A RESCUE DOG CURRENTY IN KENNELS LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED HOME This medium sized Rottie male is in need of an experienced Rottie home with no children. Diesel came into kennels as a stray and so no background is known on him. Whoever takes him on should be aware that he has not been socialised and he cannot live with kids or even if there are visiting kids. He will need to be controlled at all times and would need plenty of training, it is advisable that he be neutered asap. He has been boisterous, giddy, mouthy and friendly in kennels but he can sometimes be a little grumpy and growly (eg if he is pushed down when he jumps up). He is black and tan in colour. He is in need of a good bath and groom, he has a few matts on his back. He has more than likely been a yard/guarrd dog and left to his own devices which could explain the reason for his grumpy behaviour as he may not be used to being handled much., probably his only interaction has been when he has been fed. He doesnt appear to know how to walk properly on the lead either, he jumps around a lot so has more than likely not been out for a walk ever. He will need further training and socialising if he is to be rehomed as a pet but he does appear to know some basic commands. A secure garden will be needed and a responsible, sensible owner who knows how to behave around dogs like him. He tries to stay clean in his indoor kennel. He hasnt shown any aggression towards other dogs in kennels so has possibly been with other dogs more than humans. Border Collie 3yrs old. I am sadly having to re home my 3 year old Border Collie. He is house trained, obedient, affectionate, ball obsessed and great with other dogs. He lives with another dog, cat and tortoise. He unfortunately has a side to him where he appears to suddenly, and for no reason, feel threatened. He will then growl and sometimes bare his teeth. He has snacked a few times but this only seems to be some kind of defensive thing. However when he is growling he is still trying to come in close for a cuddle, its bizarre. Tell him to sit and give a paw and he snaps straight out of it and it's all love from him again. The issue we have is we have children. We can deal with him, however we can not take the risk anymore of him doing this with them. I'm looking for someone who has previously owned collies and with a child free home.
