This is Dolly. She's an 8 year old Piebald Cob Mare standing at 13.3hh. Dolly is a really sweet girl who is completely bombproof in the heaviest of traffic! We live on a very busy A road and she has seen arctic lorries, cranes, motorbikes, ambulance with lights and sirens, tractors and cars driving far too close. She has never so much as looked at anything just takes it all in her stride. She has also seen sheep and is very quiet around dogs. Dolly doesn't really enjoy doing work in the school although she will do it, just lacks a bit of enthusiasm. She much prefers hacking and would make a great happy hacker. She will go on her own or in company and doesnt mind going first or last. She is ridden in a snaffle at all times. She would live in it out, she's up to date with worming and farrier. Currently barefoot with very good feet. Dolly has never been vaccinated for flu and tet is so this would need doing. Dolly is a bit nervous around new people to start with. She is very easily won over with food though. She is a little bit sensitive about having her feet picked out but so long as you are confident and clear about what you want her to do she is fine. With a heavy heart I'm selling my mare, Rue. She's a really lovely girl. Really good to do anything with. Selling as a happy hacker as she was sold to me as having a "big knee" this does not affect her in anyway and is sound. I trot her around the roads and she's always been sound. She's good in traffic and my young son has ridden her on the roads. Rue really looked after him. She would suit anyone who just wants a horse to enjoy the world with. I am reluctantly selling my 16 year old Tb mare due to lack of time. She is a very safe horse that would be ideal for a mainly hacking home. Elsie is a 17 year old 14hh coloured mare. We bought her because her previous owner was too ill to take care of her and it felt like the right thing to do. She has been ride and drive in the past but has had several years off and had a couple of foals. We are currently bringing her back into work, sorted her teeth, feet etc out and had her fully checked by a vet. She now does some lovely basic groundwork and is a willing learner. She is easy to trim, good for the dentist, polite to handle, she lunges, loads and travels easily and loves to be brushed. She is a bit green in the school which is reflected in the price, happy hacking out so we think this is pretty much what she has done in the past. She is solid in traffic and sensible to hack out in company. She will go out alone but is a little nappy to start, this will only improve as we’ve only done it once!
