Very sad sale of my 7 yr. old Appaloosa mare because I do not have the time or experience to take her forward, and she is wasted with me, she needs a competent young person or light weight adult and she will then go on to excel in many equine activities I am sure. She went away to be re started in the summer with the excellent Frankie price equine but has only been out hacking with me since she has been back. She has just had her dentist visit, (no sedation) and her feet done (she is barefoot wearing front boots) she is up to date with her vaccinations and worming, and has had a full physio check, she has her passport. She has a wonderful temperament with good manners on the ground, she can be cheeky at times but without malice and she is never nasty. She is good in traffic, can be ridden out with others or alone, she is in at night and out during the day at present, she likes the company of other horses and in her previous home she was out with a few others but at present she is next to other horses but separated by tape. This is a lovely kind mare, she is 7 but is very green for her age I bought her as a mother daughter pony but she requires alot of leg to get going which my daughter is struggling with and I am finding it hard to put in the time to school her a few times a week to help with this, she will live in or out and has a lovely willing attitude she lifts all her feet easily and will load with gentle persuasion easy to catch, she will follow you around the field she is great working around her in the stable my children 4 and 9 are in there with me my 4 yr old often swinging a brush or making car noises! she just requires a home where someone can give her a bit more time on the schooling front to make her more responsive she is very safe ridden just green, she came from a novice home so hasnt really had much education the past 18months she so unusual in colour and gets many comments her passport is ID but her breeder has included the Dam and Sire details dad was a full breed appaloosa so she would throw a lovely foal if put to another appaloosa. One rein stops and will back up to pressure.Someone has clearly not been very nice to her before me as she was nervous when I had her. Significantly more trusting now (fine to catch, lead, tack up, handle in stable etc) and with time will make fantastic horse. We bought Grace for my daughter to bring on but unfortunately she broke her collar bone (not on grace) and hasn't been able to continue with her education. She's not Marish or your typical T / B, hacks alone or in company, she has a natural jump and her schooling was coming on nicely with a lovely flowing movement. She raced 6 times (3 flat, 3 hurdle) so is available for ROR. She will happily turn out with mares or geldings but is just as happy on her own. Happy to live in or out but does windsuck in the stable which is controlled with a collar.
