Davenport Mahogany Writing Desk, This is a beautiful top quality antique reproduction solid mahogany double sided Davenport Writing Desk Bureau. It offers a surprising amount of storage space including a hinged desk top which lifts to reveal a spacious paperwork or laptop compartment, complete with eight drawers. The desk top itself provides an excellent writing surface - this is covered in leather which is embossed with complimentary gold tooling.The shelf on the top also lifts to reveal a secret compartment which could be used for pens etc.The two front legs are ornate and very impressive and to each side is a further set of four drawers.Originally very expensive, It is in excellent condition.
