It offers a surprising amount of storage space including a hinged desk top which lifts to reveal a spacious paperwork or laptop compartment, complete with eight drawers. The desk top itself provides an excellent writing surface - this is covered in leather which is embossed with complimentary gold tooling.The shelf on the top also lifts to reveal a secret compartment which could be used for pens etc.The two front legs are ornate and very impressive and to each side is a further set of four drawers.Originally very expensive, It is in excellent condition. A large mahogany bureau in dark good used condition, I'm only selling as its too high for me to work at comfortably. A solid and very useful piece of furniture and excellent for storage, and will not fall to pieces like some flat pack brands I could mention.
