Lovely leather-bound album in very good condition for its age. Cover has beautiful tooled decoration front and back. Size: 30cm x 22cm x 5.5cm approximately. 24 double-sided thick card leaves, each taking 2 or 3 photos on each side. Photo windows all outlined by one thick and one thin gold line. Leather shows a little surface wear at the corners and edges, as you'd expect, giving its authentic antique look, but is otherwise in excellent condition. Binding in good condition. Each leaf attached to the binding by a special strip that allows easy pages to turn easily and lie flat. The album weighs 2.5 kilograms, but delivery by courier is included in the price. this is an antique leather clad telescope. not entirely sure on age there are marks and dents on the item as pictures show. engraving reads: Adie 395 the Strand M.6.4.6 S7 Not quite sure what that means. the leather is very fragile and cracked in various places and some is missing altogether. still makes for a very interesting piece for display. the telescope measures 79cm in total length, but does come apart into different sections. This is an 18th/19th century church collection box. It is made of heavy solid oak, with a hinged, lockable lid. There are two locks, but I do not have the keys. There are two slots in the lid to accept coins. Originally, it appears, from screw marks, to have been screwed to a wall in a church for security. Internally there are two compartments. The underside of the lid has a makers mark, of T. JEWITT of Oxford. The box is overlaid with ornate cast iron work, of good quality. I have found a reference to this box being presented for sale, some years ago, to Bonhams London auction house. It is a rare and unusual box. Please study all photographs carefully as these also form part of the description. Beautiful Victorian Pine Chest / Trunk with brass drop handles. Brass lock escutcheon, and original solid brass quality drop handles. It has had some renovation (mainly a small wood insert in one edge) in the past, as is to be expected because of its age, but it is in a nice polished condition.  It is brass bound, and is made of Brazilian mahogany - very thick and heavy.    It has a false panel in the internal base for smuggling, when it was originally a sea chest, I believe.   I have owned it for 50 years, but I no longer have the room for it.   There is no woodworm - its too hard for the little blighters! A perfect Coffee Table ? Length 77cm Width 45cm Height 47cm It provides an ideal storage solution for papers / magazines or would look fabulous as a lamp or coffee table. A nice piece of furniture to enhance any home. As this is an old chest, the usual marks, and knocks are present commensurate with age and use.
