The little Centaur is a 19th-century copy of the Old Centaur kept at the Vatican Museums. A wonderful example of Neoclassical sculpture, it rests on a porphyry base and has been crafted into a wonderful Italian statuary marble, while the original kept at the Vatican Museums is much larger and carved in Bigio Morato marble. Painstakingly chiselled into details and in excellent condition, only the thumb of the right hand is missing, as shown in pictures. Beautiful and large oak carved Madonna sculpture. It comes from Flanders and is made in a somewhat naive style. The sculpture has a dark brown patina and it is pretty old. We believe it comes from the first half of the 19th century, possibly the 2nd half of the 18th century. The condition is fairly good with various traces of age (see photos). Marble bust of deity, Italy - first half of 19th century

The small bust of"Zeus or Neptune" underwent only a conservative restoration work. The head was relocated above the bust, certainly with a linchpin and mortar, no stucco work. The sculpture was crafted archaeologically, the preparation with recesses of the left shoulder is beautiful together with the semi-ancient tears. However, overall the artefact is in a fairly good state of preservation, in its original patina, crafted in a fine Italian statuary, held up by an original metal linchpin, on a Levanto red base.
