This cavernous 8 man tent is ideal for families who are looking for space, comfort and durability. Combine this the interior layout makes the Outwell Hartford XL tent perfect for long family vacations. The Outwell Hartford XL consists one large dome area with three standing height bedrooms off it. This height is achieved through Outwell’s Extended Frame (OEF) system which also offers strength and lightness. We like the ability to stand up in your own bedroom area, as this makes organising things / tidying up a lot easier on the old knees. The large dome area offers a huge space to eat, cook, wash up etc but if you feel this is not big enough then you may want to consider buying the Outwell Hartford XL front extension. (~£75). This extension turns the large Outwell into a huge tent, with numerous uses and really the more you can cover your options,so to speak, in respect of inside space the better. Lets see what’s under the hood of the Outwell Hartford XL tent. The fabric of the tent is made from fire retardant material and the outer layer has a hydrostatic head of mm. Hydrostatic head is a guide to how waterproof the tent is. In the UK anything above mm is considered waterproof. However, the higher the number is the more it will withstand driving rain, an unfortunate common occurrence in the UK. There is obviously no point in stopping the water from getting in if the fabric stops the moisture from leaving the tent so Outwell have made the inner tent breathable which along with good ventilation between the outer and inner ensures that condensation build up is kept to a minimum. For spares or repair. It has two leaks by the communal entrance and one of the rods has a breach on the metal band (the bit at the end of the rod) that surrounds it. From memory the kit contains a spare rod and the two leaks which I’m pretty sure there’s a repair kit inside are repairable. Tent six berth for sale, Montana 6 six berth tent for sale. Quality tent with a lot of room inside, ideal for family or as a luxury tent for two as I have used it. Could be used as at a festival or a headquarters tent at a fete.It has a removable inner bedroom compartment with zip mesh and to keep the bugs out while you sleep and that has a ground sheet sewn into it. You can roll up the front to give a real open feeling in the day time. Poles are of tubular steel spring linked and just slip together very quickly. you set up the top three poles and place the side poles set up at half height and pull over tent, go in and flick the side poles to full height. then you open and attach inner sleeping compartment. When the guy lines are attached it's a very sturdy and safe tent. I have been in a strong wind a couple of times. You have the sleeping areas across the back area. The front has large see through area with curtains. Separate front zip door. A nice colour of Beige and Russet. Some quick facts. Size of tent set up Front 12 foot 6 inches. Sides 13 foot 6 inches. Height inside 7 foot. Outer edges (eves) 5 foot 7 inches.When packed up tent is in one bag and the poles in another. Tent take goes in a bag 16 inches by 38 inches. The frame poles folded go in a bag 41 inches by 12 inches. See photos. I have not set the tent up for the photos but have opened it up to show the quality of canvas of tent.
