COMPETENT RIDER FOR 15.2HH TB GELDING

Am looking for the right person to come help exercise my 15.2hh TB gelding. He is a very laid back loving chap, but occasionally has TB moments out hacking, nothing nasty at all, just has to be convinced to go past something a bit scary. He does not buck, rear, take off, or do anything nasty. He is great in traffic, snaffle mouthed. Can jump, been to clinics, he just needs a bit more attention as the winter months come on that I can give him, as I have other horses too. 10 year old TB 16'2 TB Gelding

10 year old 16'2 TB Gelding. We have owned Felix for just over a year and have come to the conclusion that he needs a home that has more time for him. He has come a long way since we brought him but needs more work and we just don't have the time. He schools beautifully the way he carries himself is delightful he has three lovely paces and has a lovely fluid movement, I could imagine him doing a very nice dressage test. We have never taken him out competing and apart from popping him over a little jump in our school he hasn't done any jumping since we have owned him so can't really comment on his jumping ability. We are definitely what you would call a happy hacking home so haven’t taken him to shows. He is best when ridden frequently although last weekend we rode for the first time in 3 months and hacked on both Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday he was excited and it took longer than usual to tack him up and as soon as my husbands bottom was in the saddle he was jogging up the road! He jogged around and was generally very excitable so we only did road work. On the Sunday he was like a totally different horse, stood quietly to be tacked up, easy to mount and was cool as a cucumber so we went out for a good 2 hours and had 3 canters and a gallop. It was very pleasant hack. My husband and I mainly hack together which Felix does prefer but he has hacked alone and if he did it more I am sure he would settle much more quickly. We hack down fairly busy roads and he is fine, he does very occasionally do excited little bucks, not in nasty 'I am going to throw you off way' just I am excited and I want to go. Where he needs the most work still is on the ground he has a nervous disposition and will need a patient owner who has time to gain his trust. He isn’t at all nasty and does have stable manners he just gets nervous. We clipped him this weekend and we do it in stages so it takes 2 days rather than a few hours. He will stand to be groomed for 20 minutes and then gets fidgety, he takes longer than you average horse to tack up, nothing at all nasty he just has trust issues. He loads fine in either a box or trailer but doesn't like travelling alone, we tend to load him last and then out first to try and keep his mood as calm as possible. He can't be left in a field by himself or left on the yard by himself. He is good for the farrier and has never been lame or had any health problems. Up to date with jabs. I brought Deno just over a year ago but due to a fall I have lost my confidence. I don't think it's fair for him to be doing nothing. He loves to be in work loves running and jumping and would go far with the right rider. Would do great at XC he has hunted with previous owner. He is good in traffic but can be spooky over the horse eating drains,puddles etc he is good in open fields but can get a bit excited. I have done fun rides with him He can be a typical tb so would be better with someone who knows tbs he's not in work but dose get lunged. He's forward going NOT a NOVICE ride He can pull faces and look grumpy but is not nasty in any way He has suffered with tight shoulder muscles due to him not using him self properly.
