Saracen is a forward going, but responsive ride, who is good to do in all ways. He is snaffle mouthed at all times, but not suitable for a complete novice as can be forward going. He has done a bit of everything in the past with me, but now he’s older, would suit a predominantly hacking home. He loves hacking and is safe out, alone and in company, and isn’t fazed by anything. He is good on the road and in open fields, and has never reared, bucked or bolted. He is good for the dentist, farrier, vet and to clip. Saracen has a large character, but is always honest, and will look after the rider. He has some medical issues, hence his price, so would suit an easier life with a knowledgeable owner. Coloured cob sensible happy hacker

Elsie is a 17 year old 14hh coloured mare. We bought her because her previous owner was too ill to take care of her and it felt like the right thing to do. She has been ride and drive in the past but has had several years off and had a couple of foals. We are currently bringing her back into work, sorted her teeth, feet etc out and had her fully checked by a vet. She now does some lovely basic groundwork and is a willing learner. She is easy to trim, good for the dentist, polite to handle, she lunges, loads and travels easily and loves to be brushed. She is a bit green in the school which is reflected in the price, happy hacking out so we think this is pretty much what she has done in the past. She is solid in traffic and sensible to hack out in company. She will go out alone but is a little nappy to start, this will only improve as we’ve only done it once! As bomb proof as a horse will ever be. Happy to let you jump on in the field, hacks out alone or in company, stands patiently for mounting. Behind the leg, likes to plod along at her own pace, and very much a leg at each corner type. Very sure footed (we call her our little mountain goat!). Won't ever win any races for speed, but will definitely give her rider plenty of confidence. She is dominant with-in the herd but not bolshy on the ground with people.
