As bomb proof as a horse will ever be. Happy to let you jump on in the field, hacks out alone or in company, stands patiently for mounting. Behind the leg, likes to plod along at her own pace, and very much a leg at each corner type. Very sure footed (we call her our little mountain goat!). Won't ever win any races for speed, but will definitely give her rider plenty of confidence. She is dominant with-in the herd but not bolshy on the ground with people. Found she is better living with mares, because she sometimes likes to bully laid back geldings. She has not got a nasty bone in her body, she just expects her field buddies to listen! Never kicked or bitten. Not spooky, 100% in traffic, never napped or done anything silly. She has lived on her own and would be fine with that once settled in her new home if she didn't have field buddies, as long as she got lots of attention and lots of yummy grass! Lives on fresh air! I'm looking for a safe, genuine happy hacker to share 2-3 days during the week. I have slight disabilities so have to use a mounting block to mount and dismount. Once I'm in the saddle I'm a competent rider with 30yrs experience. I don't mind forward going but has to be safe and genuine. Absolutely must not buck, rear or bronk. Saracen is a forward going, but responsive ride, who is good to do in all ways. He is snaffle mouthed at all times, but not suitable for a complete novice as can be forward going. He has done a bit of everything in the past with me, but now he’s older, would suit a predominantly hacking home. He loves hacking and is safe out, alone and in company, and isn’t fazed by anything. He is good on the road and in open fields, and has never reared, bucked or bolted. He is good for the dentist, farrier, vet and to clip. Saracen has a large character, but is always honest, and will look after the rider. He has some medical issues, hence his price, so would suit an easier life with a knowledgeable owner. Anaya is a very pretty 14.2hh Haflinger mare, D.O.B - Registered with the Haflinger Society of Great Britain. Full history known - Same home for nearly 7 years & bought from a neighbour who purchased her as an imported yearling from Belgium. I have mainly used her for hacking out on our country lanes. She enjoys hacking out on her own & in company and is a sensible and steady ride. She's very good in traffic and is used to dogs, ducks, hens etc around her at home. Anaya is very good with the farrier, dentist, vet, to clip & to load, up to date with vaccs. She has front shoes for road work but good strong feet. She has loads of character, enjoys contact with people, will follow you around the field and comes to call. Currently out during the day and stabled at night but could live out. No health issues - wears fly mask in summer as sensitive to fly bites. No sweet itch. Low mileage. Needs further schooling from a more experienced rider to bring out her full potential.
