Stunning strawberry roan cob gelding

With a heavy heart, Rolo is for sale due to no rider and going to waste in the field, we have owned Rolo for 5 years and he has been an absolute gem, ridden by novices and very young riders, he is a typical cob, greedy, lives on fresh air, and a super plod... he is a fantastic hacking horse and will go for miles, he is as near to super safe as it gets, nothing fazes him at all... he doesn't like schooling and can be very stubborn but in the right hands he will do his job and has competed at local level show jumping.... he lives out all year round and will not be stabled, we have tried and he dislikes it to a point of jumping the door!!! Gorgeous 15.2hh Bay Cob Gelding

Sonny is a gorgeous and eye catching 15.2hh (and still growing!) rising 4 year old bay cob gelding. He has an excellent confirmation and would excel in the show ring, or as a happy hacker or driving horse. He has a lovely cuddly personality and loves human attention. He will stand for hours to be fussed and groomed alone or in company and is the first to plod over for attention in the field. I bought Sonny as a project a year and a half ago, and he ended up staying with me a lot longer than planned as he’s such a lovely boy! I have ummed and arred for a while now on whether to sell him, but after being unable to find a sharer and coming to terms with the reality of how I really do not have time to ride two horses, or the facilities to bring him onto his full potential (no school) I have come the decision to sell him on. He loads first time ever time, is excellent for my trimmer and has some of the best feet she has seen so won’t ever need shoes. He is excellent to be tacked up, have his feet picked out, stands for the vet and dentist (no sedation needed) and although he hasn’t been clipped I have rubbed clippers all over him and he couldn’t care less. He lives out 24/7 all year round, unrugged (although he does wear a fly sheet in horse fly season), in a herd environment, and I would like him to go somewhere where they will continue to keep him this way. I backed Sonny at the end of the summer using a mixture of natural horsemanship and traditional methods, and have been bringing him on slowly since so he is only for sale to an experienced home who can continue his education. Sonny is ridden bitless but can be bitted, and is happy to walk and trot with a rider, and excellent to hack out in company. He has already been boxed out to the local woods with my other horse for a hack where he saw lots of screaming children, dogs, cars, people, ice cream vans and took it all in his stride. I do hack him out alone, but he can be a bit nervous due to his age, which I am sure will get better with more time and experience. I think he would excel as a happy hacker, a show cob or a driving horse. He is not forward going, but is straight off of your leg so I wouldn’t class him as a plod either – he is a happy medium! That being said, I could easily see him becoming a kick along in the wrong hands if nagged with the leg by an incompetent rider, hence why I will not sell to a novice rider or owner. His new home is very important to me and I do not want him bought as a project and sold on further. He really craves human attention and I really want him now to go onto a one on one home where he will be loved and fussed and given lots of attention. His new home will be vetted and I want the new owner to stay in touch and send me lots of updates and pictures. Troy (Lucky Zulu) is a 16.1 TB x Cob Bay gelding. He has hunted with the Southern Shires Bloodhounds, where he looked after me on my first hunt. I believe he has also hunted on the new forest with a previous owner. Troy loves cross country and is very honest with a big, bold jump. He is also great through water. He has taken part in hunter trials with a previous owner. Troy has also taken part in lots of different riding club activities including adult/pony club camp, sponsored rides, fancy dress rides, showjumping competitions, ODE and pub rides. REDUCED bay cob gelding ride and drive 14.3hh in Camberley

14.3hh handsome ride and drive cob gelding. Up to date with teeth and worming. Good nature, never bitten or kicked. Good to tie up and groom. Nice comfortable paces, moves at a nice steady pace. Good in all types of traffic. Driven by a novice driver but would need experienced driver to progress to roads as am not knowledgeable enough in this area, been told was previously driven on some roads sometimes. Can do 2 or 4 wheel cart. Can be ridden/driven around open fields and amongst other horses. Hacks alone but need to be assertive to build him up in this area further. Only flaw is he can be stubborn whilst hacking going forwards sometimes, doesn't rear, buck or bolt but wouldn't say he is bombproof or foolproof. Schools nice and softly on the bit. Good with kids, to trim, catch, worm. Will load into a single trailer. Barefoot no problem. Lives out in a mixed herd no problem. Someone to progress him further preferred as he is a smart lad but would also comfortably suit trekking centre, happy hack in company as he is if this is what someone requires of him. Will continue to hack and school whilst here, showing improvement each time. Can carry up to approximately 13 stone. Happy to answer questions, will be as honest as I can but please only enquire if you are genuinely interested. Hes a nice looking fella who deserves a forever home. Ideally I'd like him to go to someone who confidently really pushes him, shows him a sense of adventure and regularly gets to see new things, get him thinking and problem solving, open his mind.
