13.2 Pony A Perfect Mother Daughter Share or First Pony

This pony has been an absolute dream in the time that we have had him and he hasn't put a foot wrong. I rescued him from a very bad situation a few months back and he has been so gentle and loving bless him. He will go anywhere load onto anything great with the farrier and he let me fully clip him without even tying him up. We have taken him for long hacks over valleys and across motorway bridges and he didn't even bat an eyelid. His only down point is that he's a bit slow but I'm sure he would get a bit quicker once he was fitter. Whoever comes to see him will fall in love with him. He can only wear lightweight rugs as he grows a thick rug and sweats but he was much better once clipped. He would make the perfect mother daughter share as even though he is only 13.2hh he looks and rides a lot bigger and to be honest I was shocked when I measured him. He is very low in the pecking order on the field and does tend to get picked on so I put him in with my Donkeys but he then started picking on them so he would have to be with nice horses that didn't pick on him. I really don't want him to go to a riding school. He is a pony that you could put your nan on but I really want him to go to a loving home because he has had a really horrid start in life. I am looking for a home for our 13hh 16yo Dartmoor pony, ideally I'd like him to go as a companion only altho he can be ridden but is NOT by any means a child's pony at all! He's very sensitive to balance and is strong. One of my friends has ridden him on the odd occasions but she is a small adult and a very quiet rider and she has had no problems with him at all. Safe First Horse Wanted - 13hh - 15.3hh in Newton Abbot

Looking for a second horse for my daughter to progress her riding on. She is a fairly nervous rider although competent in walk and trot if she had more confidence. I am looking for a confidence giving horse / pony for her to call her own as my Welshy is too strong for her to learn on. I am looking for either an older horse that has been outgrown and progressed on from, free to a good home or something that is LWVTB at not too much cost although if the right horse is out there price would be negotiable. Type and age is not really important to us this is about finding the right fit for my daughter. She does love her greys / spotted and prefers geldings but again its about finding the right horse for her and any horse coming to us would be loved and have a forever home. Although this is for my daughter the horse would not be moved on after a few months or a year as she is unlikely to grow anymore and I am hoping to find something that once her confidence has grown she could take to some local shows even if it is just in hand showing, again all to build her confidence up. We are based in Newton Abbot on a quiet yard with anything from 3 - 5 other horses so it will have company at all times.
