Perfect first or second pony 13.1hh

Beautiful wall eyed cremella. 14 year old mare 13.1hh. Showjumping, lead rein and show pony. Very disciplined in the school and will follow you around off lead. Geat to catch unless shes showing off with another pony lol. Farrier and dentist no problem. Not shod and doesnt need it. Loves to hack alone or in company. Only vice is putting her head down but a daisy rein sorts that out. This is habitual only. Rides in happy mouth with no grackle martingale or other constrictions. Great first or second pony as she is an allrounder. Not a bucker or rearer but reared once as she had a wee urine infection. Very safe, was previously an eight year olds pony who doesnt have much confidence. Five star home a must and definately no dealers. Stands to be groomed all day. Only selling as my daughter has lost interest in horses. Read More

13.2 Pony A Perfect Mother Daughter Share or First Pony

This pony has been an absolute dream in the time that we have had him and he hasn't put a foot wrong. I rescued him from a very bad situation a few months back and he has been so gentle and loving bless him. He will go anywhere load onto anything great with the farrier and he let me fully clip him without even tying him up. We have taken him for long hacks over valleys and across motorway bridges and he didn't even bat an eyelid. His only down point is that he's a bit slow but I'm sure he would get a bit quicker once he was fitter. Whoever comes to see him will fall in love with him. He can only wear lightweight rugs as he grows a thick rug and sweats but he was much better once clipped. He would make the perfect mother daughter share as even though he is only 13.2hh he looks and rides a lot bigger and to be honest I was shocked when I measured him. He is very low in the pecking order on the field and does tend to get picked on so I put him in with my Donkeys but he then started picking on them so he would have to be with nice horses that didn't pick on him. I really don't want him to go to a riding school. He is a pony that you could put your nan on but I really want him to go to a loving home because he has had a really horrid start in life. Please get in touch if you would like to know anything else but please no joy riders as he is just too sweet x He's a little boy that deserves a loving home where he can plod along happily and have a nice life x He's just had his feet trimmed again and they are fabulous now and shouldn't need shoes and I've just given him a pramox so he's wormed up to date. He's not vaccinated but wormed up to date and passported. I rescue ponies and Donkeys that have had a bad start get them all back to perfect health and the ones that are as good as this one I find homes for so all we have done is build him up and ridden him round various valleys etc for hours which he loves but haven't done anything like jumping etc. He's quite heavy set more like a shires build but pony sized which makes him look like a show hunter type? He's going to be more suited to someone who wants to just hack out safely and plod around or show as he's so quiet, safe and pretty He's a real confidence giver x Read More

Perfect lead rein or second pony

Perfect lead rein or second pony

Meet jlo she is a 13hh skewbald light weight cob. I have owned jlo for the last year and she has been an absolute joy to own. We brought her for my daughter to start learning on but because she has lost all interest and she is being wasted in a field. She is 15 years old but.please don't let that put you off she loves and good gallop and canter and is happy to pop a jump and a lodge. She is perfect in all heavy traffic and tractors. She is a great lead rein pony and has taught my daughter to come.off the lead rein and happy plods along the roads with someone on ground or on horse back but does need a confident rider if being ridden on her own. She doesn't buck rear but just like reassurance from her rider. This is the hardest decision I have ever had to do because I would keep her as a field pet if I could. But she still has so much more to give a young rider or small adult. So please only contact me if you are 100% sure because she won't just go to anyone she will only go to a 10? home. She prefers to live out 27/7 but is happy to be in a stable too. She has brilliant feet so is barefoot never had shoes on. She is up to date with her tetanus and wormer and dentist. She comes to call in the biggest of fields. She has never been sick or sorry. She will come with all her tack and head collars. She is the best friend and I am gutted I have to say this but I know she needs to work as she loves riding and being out Read More

13hh Chestnut Gelding, Registered Welsh Section B. 10 Years old. Dennis was bought as a second pony for my 9 year old son. My son wasn't too confident at that time and needed a pony that would really look after him taking him from Lead Rein to being independent. He has fulfilled his job and has now been outgrown and is ready to show his next little rider the ropes. He has been using for schooling off the lead rein and jumping at home and local shows. We have hacked him on the lead rein and out as a group with other horses. Dennis has been a Safe and Sane pony. He is great to catch, good with the farrier (bare foot only). He is an extremely good doer and lives off Fresh air!. We keep him stabled at night and out during day. Bad Points: Doesn't like the Dentist or the hosepipe! He will become bolshy if presented with either, however a firm adult hand and this is not a problem. We have travelled Dennis a lot to and from lessons and shows. He loads instantly when a lunge line is presented to his rear end! Price is £ to include all tack excluding saddle. His Made to Measure Saddle is available at £. Delivery can be arranged at £1 per mile. Open to Vetting. Read More

11.2 hh 11yo Grey (some of the time) Welsh Section A Gelding - Striker Striker is a cherub. He will happily do the lead rein bit with the wobbly just starting off riders. He will hack up the lanes unfazed by any cars, vans, bikes, tractors coming past, and he will happily stand and wait for traffic to pass. He will go round and round and round a schooling area, walking over poles and weaving around cones. Striker has a sweet little trot and a nice rhythmic canter with the sweetest little pop over a small jump, which he will happily do on the lead or off. He has been across wide open fields and down woodlands and little foresty areas and he's impeccably behaved, standing and waiting for gates to be opened without getting fidgety. He has been put to harness and pulled a little cart before we owned him, however this is not something we have done with him. Striker will happily do the circuits on the lead rein with a 3 year old or step up for a more able jockey, happily carrying 8 stone with a 5'5 rider. Striker has the presence, movement and the look to excel in the show ring, however I wouldn't recommend this as his forte as he also has the hygiene and cleanliness of a wart hog !!! This little boy has given my nieces some lovely times and helped build their confidence in the saddle and on the ground but the winter has it's way of showing the enthusiastic jockeys from the fair weather fairies. Rugs and tack available under separate negotiation. East Sussex £995 Read More

11.3hh first/second pony club pony

Very sad sale of our daughters pony due to loss of interest.we have owned lady for 19 months and previous home was pony club. Lady was bought as a first pony and in most respects she is and this is what she has been used for. However she does have some quirks and I honestly think she is a second pony or older child's first pony our daughter was 8 when we bought her. Lady has done all pony club rally's with the south staffs attended camp, dressage, local shows, fun rides and attended hunt meets on the lead rein. She has hacked alone and in company and spent a lot of last summer hacking around fields with my daughter or on Cannock chase. Lady likes to jump and previously has competed bsja, she likes coloured fences and was 40cm champion at Stafford riding club she will do cross country but needs positive riding. Good in traffic we live on a farm, loads, good to clip, bath and catch currently unshod but had fronts on last year due to the work. No illness with us or lami lived out this winter. Her main quirks are grumpy when tacking up and will nip if loose we avoid this by tying tight and can nip when picking front feet out just need awareness everything checked and put down to badly fitting tack in past. Can put in a buck when asked to canter with a stick. That said we have had amazing fun with this pony and she has always behaved when at shows being quite genuine over coloured fences. Currently in work tho not doing a lot. Price includes quality tack, rugs, buckets and brushes due to completely giving up. Good experienced home sought please Read More

11.2 Rupert 6 years light chestnut roan four white socks and a white face. Super cute pony we brought him recently as a safe forward first ridden pony. Before I waste your time reading through all the information about him we are selling as he can be difficult to catch in large open fields. If it's something u can deal with or have small paddocks carry on reading !! He came from small paddocks and had minimal trouble. We wanted him for mounted games, he walked, trotted and cantered on demand with a soft mouth. Nothing silly or bolt off but we kicked and he maintained his speed. He was perfect for our jockey who's been riding a year but wanted a more forward ride. We managed to hack him down the road and bridle path once which he was good. He doesn't like the rider hanging onto his mouth so no pullers. With previous owner has done everything like most small ponies and nothing has fazed him. He has stopped a couple of times testing the rider but will do as he's told once he knows who's in charge. Our fields are too big and open to get near him and have gone a week at a time without being caught, unfortunately he has not worked out as this is something we cannot deal with here. The old owners have now replaced him. Asking £800 as sold from the field open to sensible offers. Read More
