13.2 Pony A Perfect Mother Daughter Share or First Pony

This pony has been an absolute dream in the time that we have had him and he hasn't put a foot wrong. I rescued him from a very bad situation a few months back and he has been so gentle and loving bless him. He will go anywhere load onto anything great with the farrier and he let me fully clip him without even tying him up. We have taken him for long hacks over valleys and across motorway bridges and he didn't even bat an eyelid. His only down point is that he's a bit slow but I'm sure he would get a bit quicker once he was fitter. Whoever comes to see him will fall in love with him. He can only wear lightweight rugs as he grows a thick rug and sweats but he was much better once clipped. He would make the perfect mother daughter share as even though he is only 13.2hh he looks and rides a lot bigger and to be honest I was shocked when I measured him. He is very low in the pecking order on the field and does tend to get picked on so I put him in with my Donkeys but he then started picking on them so he would have to be with nice horses that didn't pick on him. I really don't want him to go to a riding school. He is a pony that you could put your nan on but I really want him to go to a loving home because he has had a really horrid start in life. Please get in touch if you would like to know anything else but please no joy riders as he is just too sweet x He's a little boy that deserves a loving home where he can plod along happily and have a nice life x He's just had his feet trimmed again and they are fabulous now and shouldn't need shoes and I've just given him a pramox so he's wormed up to date. He's not vaccinated but wormed up to date and passported. I rescue ponies and Donkeys that have had a bad start get them all back to perfect health and the ones that are as good as this one I find homes for so all we have done is build him up and ridden him round various valleys etc for hours which he loves but haven't done anything like jumping etc. He's quite heavy set more like a shires build but pony sized which makes him look like a show hunter type? Lead Rein / First Ridden/ Second Pony for sale

Marvin is an 11h2 12 year old Welsh A pony. He is a lead rein, first ridden (with the limits described below) and suitable second ridden if you want to jump higher/shows We've have owned him now for ten months and was brought as a confidence giver for our daughter after a previous bad buy. Marvin has done just that and given her a whole load of fun.. Our daughter had previously only ridden riding school ponies and her previous green pony and he gave her the opportunity to experience something more responsive and forward so as a first ridden pony for schooling,flat work, hacking and safety he is amazing.. Due to our previous bad buy this advert will be as honest as I can so you know exactly what Marvin offers. His good points are he will school all day long, he loves flat work, dressage, showing (and did in hand showing with his previous owners) he really will just go round and round all day.. His really strong point is out on open ground he is steady as a rock and will stand on a loose rein while others canter away/around but equally will canter round coming to a stop when asked by little hands and legs. On this area he is absolutely priceless.. He will go to shows, PC rallies and he stays the same as he does at home, He did mini camp this summer off lead and behaved just as he always does. He is fine to catch, easy enough to load but does travel better with other ponies, he's never taken more than a minute or two to load on his own.. He can however be very nervous of new people and whilst he's not head shy on tacking up he doesn't like to be groomed near his ears and nose, once he knows you he is much better and this problem becomes less and less.. He is great at gymkhana until the cups and flags come out! He'll weave in and out of poles, he'll let little ones jump down, run with him etc but he will not let you pick up the cup/flag in those types of races. He needs sedation for clipping/teeth - not necessarily a negative as not uncommon but I'd rather people knew. Reason for sale is because whilst i would class him as a first ridden in pretty much all areas - he looks completely to everyone else for confidence when jumping.. Marvin has an amazing jump on him and with a confident rider he would be amazing, he turns fast and jumps large so in the right hands he could be an awesome jumping pony, but our daughter is still learning in this area herself and so their lack of confidence together is counter productive which is why for jumping he really is a second pony only.. As our daughter loves jumping and really wants to progress further in this area we've reached a cross roads with him otherwise he would not be going anywhere. He will jump for little ones in lessons, at home etc but not consistently and at shows when everyone is nervous he won't jump at all off lead unless the rider is confident.. Marvin can be stabled or live out, currently he is out 24/7, he has front shoes no health issues. He would love a home where he does lots of hacking, flat work and pops a few jumps with no pressure. Super lead rein/first pony

SOLD PENDING PAYMENT 11.2hh mare. Perfect ground manners and a mother's dream to own. She has taught my 5 just turned 6 year old daughter to canter and ride off the lead rein and jump small cross poles up to 55cm. She is 15 and has previously had driving experience, which we haven't done whilst owning her. She is a perfect hack, responsive to the leg so don't need to kick her along but doesn't run off with the children either. We have done cross country at high plains, show jumping around numerous venues in the north east including stainsby grange, fancy dress, show cross and can trust her to ride off the lead rein with me riding my horse out on a hack I'm open fields and past traffic. In fact she goes first half the time as my horse is a bit spooky and takes his confidence from others. We are currently taking part in pony club activities. No rush to sell, just starting to look for a slightly bigger pony for my daughter. She is an absolute mother's dream, never sick or sorry. Safe for children to climb on and off and to lead, stands still for scissors and round the world. We have been through water and to the beach for rides out off the lead rein. She really is amazing and safe for little ones. I wouldn't say she is a dope on a rope and she can have quite a fast trot and only needs a little leg, very easy for little ones as they don't need to kick kick kick. Currently rode in a snaffle, she is very responsive, not strong or silly. As she has drove before she is as safe in traffic and has been kept in a farm with machinery and dogs. Never bats an eye lid. We have cantered through the stubble fields together and would say hacking is her favourite thing to do. She is the perfect pony if you are looking for something safe for your children to ride out with you. She is also quick for small jumping competitions which we have done on the lead rein. We have brought quite a few 1sts home with us. We did a Halloween ride last year around hamsterley Forrest and was perfect. She has been an amazing 1st pony for our family.
