12hh Bay Welsh pony gelding

Bailey is a very confident and affectionate pony who is unfazed in traffic. He is good with the vet and farrier. He has never been difficult to load or handle. Previously when in work Bailey was handled by my three year old nephew. He has been used to lead both my daughter and nephew on the lead rein, however he has only been ridden several times on the lead rein with a child riding themselves. He has been introduced twice to work off the lead rein. He has very low mileage and will need bringing on. Sadly due to family illness he has been used very lightly recently and so he is being sold from the field. He has been shown in hand where he has won many ribbons. I am confident that with time he'd make a nice child's all rounder or an inhand show pony. He will come with bridle and rugs. Read More

Bailey is a very honest and affectionate Welsh pony that I rescued 5 years ago. In that time he has become a very confident pony who enjoys being handled and ridden. He is good to lunge, handle, load, with farrier, with vet etc. He has predominately been used as a lead rein but has been introduced to work off the rein which he was quickly getting the hang of. He is 100% in traffic. Sadly, due to difficult family circumstances I don't have the time for Bailey or to bring him on. Welsh section A show pony for sale through no fault of his own. Sadly his rider has outgrown him and is moving to a bigger pony. Fantastic pony for lead rein with for a less confident rider or 2nd pony for confident rider who can ride. He is a sweet, cheeky, lovable character who loves people and being with them. He lives in or out and is fine with mares or geldings. He has good stable manners and you can move around him in and out of the stable and loves attention although he can sometimes like to have a cheeky nibble. He has never kicked or shown any nasty behaviour and he is eager and willing to learn. He is still green/young in his education which is why he is good for lead rein or a 2nd pony. He is just starting work again this year. He attended numerous shows last year and won every class he entered, he behaved impeccably at the shows and totally took care of his rider, he stood perfectly and made the days very enjoyable. He is vaccinated for flu and tetanus up to date and not due booster until . He stands to have feet done without any issues and is great with the vet. Teeth are also checked and up to date and any veterinary check is welcome. He also stands to be clipped and travels in the trailer perfectly. Passported and microchipped. Here we have my daughters 12hh stocky Welsh pony who is a gem to catch, clip, load, travel, with ALL traffic. Sadly he is only suitable as a happy hack. He doesn't like nor enjoy schooling and this is our reason for selling. He will jump lovely out hacking and will even jump out at little rallies BUT hates the sand school at home. Once in a blue moon he is fine but anymore and he become stubborn and will refuse to move!! Never has he put a foot wrong out hacking and that's the saddest thing. His manners are lovely and it's a heart breaking sale but my daughter would like to have lessons and can't always hack out.
