I bought this outboard motor on a boat several years ago and subsequently sold the boat. I had the intention of buying another boat but never did. As far as I know it has only been used on fresh water rivers around the Cambridge area. It has not run for a number of years but turns over on the starter cord. It would certainly need a good service at the least. It is complete with a petrol tank and pipe - although I would imagine the rubber parts may need replacing. Yamaha 70hp Power Trim and Tilt Yamaha three cylinder two stroke outboard motor probably early 's age. The motor looks good cosmetically but is seized. A few of the cylinder head studs have sheared and would need easyout'd or drilled and tapped. I bought it as spares as I have an identical one and spares are getting harder for these motors but I find I don't really have storage space and it is quite heavy to move around single handed. Offered as spares or what would in my view be a very significant repair probably involving a serviceable secondhand power head which I believe could be obtained for around £600? If the motor was in good serviceable condition (which again it is not) it would probably be worth around £. (look on e-bay currently for $ to $). Near offers will be considered but nothing silly please as individual parts are worth a lot but I am not going to break it up.
