The lot includes:1. A dogtag of a soldier of the Ersatz Kompanie of the Freiwilliger Legion Niederlande. This was a reserve unit of Dutch people who voluntarily signed up for the German Wehrmacht. They predominantly did service in the fight against the Soviet Union2. A dogtag of a soldier (?) of the Turkische Arbeiter Batallion W.i.G. It is not known what the letters W.i.G. mean and what exactly did these battalions do.3. A dogtag of a soldier of Feld Polizei Kommando I, a military policeman also called Feldgendarmerie. Hand made fishing rod from a WW2 tank aerial, wooden reel(pierce missing) and original corded line.

One of my uncles was in a tank regiment based in Africa during World War Two. I was 5 when the war ended and I must have been 7 or 8 when he presented the rod to me. The reel and the original "string/cord" line was my late Mother's and I used them until I was about 17 when I was at work and bought a 13 foot float road which I still use ! To cast out I had to pull the line off the reel along the bank, go back to the rod, cast out and hope the line didn't snag on the grass etc....... !
