This is a WW2 civilian radio in excellent condition, when plugged in a switched on it buzzes away and sounds like it may find a channel if tuned in properly, I'm no expert on the old valve type radios but I'm sure it'll just need one of the bulb type valves replacing to make it work properly, these radios are quite rare and the last one that I saw for sale was £150 at a militaria sale Ad ID: Delivery Services Consumer Credit

Small collection of genuine pre WW2 and WW2 dated German Arbeitsbuchen. Each is named to the particular individual with various stamps, entries and in the case of the Deutche Arbeitsfront Mitgliedsbuch, the contribution stamps. Excellent condition although the jacket for the red coloured book is worn. Still all attached though. Selling as a lot.

MARCONI R WW2 RADIO AND AMPLIFIER

This Marconi R receiver was used by my father, who was a shipboard radio operator during World War 2. He was a petty officer on a Royal Navy destroyer. My dad bought this transceiver from the Navy when he was demobbed and we still have it. These photos include shots of what I believe to be an amplifier that my dad built for it (he built several amplifiers during his life). These photos show the cables that came with the radio - including the power input - which would enable someone who knew what they were doing to put it into working order. ANTIQUE MARCONI R WW2 RADIO AND AMPLIFIER

This Marconi R receiver was used by my father, who was a shipboard radio operator during World War 2. He was a petty officer on a Royal Navy destroyer. My dad bought this transceiver from the Navy when he was demobbed. The R is a conventional supersonic-heterodyne type receiver (superhet) which uses thermionic valves. The listing shows photos of the inside, showing the valves from various different angles and also shots of what I believe to be an amplifier that my dad built for it (he built several amplifiers during his life). These photos show the cables that came with the radio - including the power input - which would enable someone who knew what they were doing to put it into working order. Kindly note that this radio has only ever been owned by the Navy and by my dad. It has not been tinkered with or modified by people who did not know what they were doing. 9th May issue dated Civilian Gas Mask Original Box of Issue. Name of person issued to in Stourbridge Good condition for its age although rubber is cracking (see pics), which is a problem with these. With regard to the filter canister, the filter could be either resin impregnated wool or asbestos wool. I have no way of checking this is the case so treat as though it is the latter and under no circumstances should this be worn! Display only. The Government initiated a plan for a simple receiver of a single standard design in , the design itself being undertaken by Dr. G. D. Reynolds of Murphy Radio Ltd. During the War there was a dire shortage of new receivers so despite the basic nature of this set it was eagerly snapped up by the public with over of the mains sets being sold in the first year. Both the price and conditions of supply were rigidly set by the Wireless Receiving Sets (Control of Supply) order, which had come in to operation of the 1st July . This specifically applied to the Civilian Receiver and the order was not revoked until July , so presumably the sets were still in production at that time ? Perfect for your 's themed House or Bunker!! VERY Good example of this radio and much sought after, even without conversion. The original volume control works as your Bluetooth volume. A Mini Jack Aux input is fitted to the rear for use with non-Bluetooth devices.
