World War 1 Trench Art - pair of brass vases -

World War 1 Trench Art - pair of vases made out of brass artillery shell cases which are both dated on the base. Dimensions are approx 22cms (8.5") high and diameter of 8 cms (3"). They have a crimped lower half and an attractive leaf pattern on the top half of the shells. These vases are 100 years old this year, and it's rare to find a matching pair in such an excellent condition. There are no splits and just one pin hole in one of the vases 3" from the top, so you are still able to put water in them for cut flowers. I am happy to post so please contact me for the cost of postage and package. A nice World War Trench Art Unusual markings on shell case, gives the impression of a tree bark. The top of the shell has been narrowed. The markings looks like it has been made by hand and not by a machine. The lower part of the case has been narrowed which gives a nice shape to the whole shell case.
