Here we have a World War 2 German Luftwaffe M40 Helmet with superb flying eagle decal and period liner with no rips. The helmet has amazing markings best I have seen. Item was stored in a dry shed in a box for 70 years. The helmet has two makers marks on the inside (Please see photos) The first one located on the left hand side of the inner rim is ET64 which means the helmet was maufactured at the The Eisenhttenwerke in Thale, Harz, Germany. The Eisenhttenwerke in Thale was the largest of all helmet production facilities during World War II (see photos of manufacture) The second makers mark is located on the inner rear rim is which denotes the run number from the batch of production.
