Braem zeigt, dass Ämter, Neueinstellung und soziale Anerkennung für jeden Schöpfungsleugner in höchster Gefahr waren. Wer Gottes Schöpfungsakt öffentlich auch nur anzweifelte drohte die soziale Isolation. Man macht sich im 21. Jahrhundert nicht leicht klar, wie umfassend die Macht der Kirche als Leitideologie war.
