White Ikea Micke Desk With Integrated Sorage / Book Shelves

Hi Here for sale is my white Ikea Micke desk. The desk is in reasonably good condition for its age, it was bought in , though it does show some visible signs of use. The desk is made of thick MDF that is very popular with Ikea products. It stands on one side on metal square leg and on the other side it rests on a book case / storage compartment that is so useful in the home office environment when there is a never ending supply of books and paper documents that need to be stored nearby and that usually get in the way, but not with this desks' solution! It also has storage drawer underneath the desk to hide away all the unwanted clutter from its surface. The desk also has a special circular cut out for all your cables to be connected neatly to the plugs, so they're not constantly in the way and so they don't make your work surface untidy. The desk is in reasonable condition for its age, though it does have a few issues that need to be pointed out. The top of the desk has a few scratches to the surface next to the side where you seat (pictured). It's nothing major, it doesn't affect the desk in any way except visually. It could be rectified easily with a lick of paint if it bothers you, but we didn't really notice it much (most of the time it was covered with papers / laptop, etc. anyway). The second issue is that the sides of the drawer are a little damaged in the place where they merge (pictured) and the bottom of the drawer doesn't feel as secure as it could've been. My husband put too much stuff in the drawer and it collapsed a bit, so we had to fix it ourselves and it worked. It happened pretty much soon after we bought the desk, so 4 years later the drawer is still usable - so again, nothing really to worry about, just visually not too attractive, although it's absolutely not noticeable when drawer is closed. We also taped the bottom of the drawer, just in case. The inside of the drawer also has a circular rusty stain on the bottom surface, I tried to clean it off but it doesn't come off, unfortunately. It's about the size of a normal cup. But again, you can only see it if the drawer is opened all the way. The only reason for sale is that we're currently trying to renovate the house room by room and we're not sure if the room will stay a home office or become a bedroom again. And unfortunately there's nowhere else to store the desk, so it will have to go, otherwise it's a perfectly fine piece of furniture. All in all, the desk is in good condition and should serve its new owner at least the same amount of time it has served us if not more! It looks aesthetically pleasing to the eye and does make the room 'flow' thanks to it being white (goes with anything!) and see through structure to one side. Would be great for anybody who wants good looking and practical furniture in their home office / study for a fraction of a store price or maybe to upcycle it for something more exciting. Would also be great for a child or student for the upcoming academic year, especially with all that extra storage that the desk provides! Clearing storage unit and have 2 lovely strong solid wooden shelving units I don't want to get rid of, but have no space for (and storing things is expensive!). The shelving positions can easily be adjusted, or shelves removed if desired. Not sure what wood it is, but very robust, polished surfaces. Buyer collects.
