Here is a lovely vintage and rare WEM Dominator 25w valve bass amplifier which turns on but makes a loud buzzing/humming noise, I'm pretty sure it is a loose connection to the speaker or possibly a valve that's gone as that's the only sound I can get out of it at the moment. I'm selling it as seen as it'll need a service before use but once Working, these fetch around £300. As far as I can tell everything's original and hasn't been changed unlike some vintage amplifiers nowadays. I don't have the time to fix myself otherwise I would. Welcome to my ad for a WEM Westminster Valve amplifier. This is in full working order but does have a couple of cosmetic issues. Unfortunately as seen in one of the images there is damage to the rear panel but it has been repaired from the back and also a slight nick in the tolex which can also be seen in the images. 18 watt hand wired 'Lead & Bass' valve combo, based on the early Marshall Lead and Bass combos. The amp has 2 x 12AX7 pre amp valves & 2 x EL84 power amp valves and has separate volume/tone controls for both lead and bass channels. The channels can be combined using a patch lead between inputs for greater tonal variety. The amp was hand built by Chris Uff (English Valve Amps) using quality parts and features an original Rola Celestion G12M Greenback speaker (see photos). Immaculate Condition Vintage WEM Valve guitar amp as used by David Gilmore and Jimmy Page.

Early 70's handbuilt British made guitar amp with original Celestion Rola speaker and old stock Mullard valves. As used by Jimmy Page and Pink Floyd (Google watkinsguitars for pics) Beautiful sustaining shimmering clean sounds and easy to overdrive. Top boost switch on channel one gives a beautiful sustained vintage Fenderish sound. Channel two is a cross between Fender and Marshall. Speaker is Celestion Rola 20watt 12 Ohms Valves are all 60's Mullard except one pre amp valve which is an old Russian Electro Harmonix. The amp has been sitting in the cupboard for at least a year. Despite its rough exterior, this Marshall Bass State B65 has been checked over and repaired internally so that it works as it should but only not sure the active channel is working,the passive channell is fine. It is a bit battered looking with rips and scuffs to outer cover (as seen in the photographs), but beyond this it will make a great gigging or practising amp- with added character. It was given to me and I am looking to sell as I do not use it, and although it makes a great decorative piece I think it should be making more noise. Comes with a kettle lead. Collection only.
